Located 5 miles/10 min drive from Downtown DSM, I pride myself on providing excellent hospitality in my cozy and clutter free home. EV Friendly with L2 charging available for EV drivers. Guests will have their own private room with windows that provide lots of natural light along with a comfy queen bed. We will share the common areas like bathroom, kitchen, living room and 3 season porch, which is great for naps! I work a lot and keep myself busy, so I may not even be home. I have super fast wifi, Home Theatre with Dolby Digital Atmos and Sonos Premium audio to enjoy. My home is non-smoking and no pets. The neighborhood is quiet, walkable and bike friendly. I’m less than 5 miles from downtown and within walking distance to several bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. My place is great for people who want a quiet place to work or retreat after a day of exploring all Des Moines has to offer. There is a SoloStove in the backyard for smokeless bonfires and well maintained flowers during spring/summer. All guests are free to use my washer/dryer during their stay...nothing like going home with clean clothes you simply need to put away.

Wow! I can't adequately describe what an amazing stay I had with Frank. Not only is he the consummate host: friendly, welcoming, prompt with communication, but his home is beautiful and cozy. My only regret is that my stay was brief. He's in a great, quiet neighborhood, only a few minutes from anything you need. I am so appreciative that I got to stay at Frank's place, and look forward to my return.
Frank is the consummate b n b host. Articulate, friendly and a very nice person.
Frank was personable and very easy to converse with during my stay. We enjoyed an Italian meal, which we ordered in, to allow our conversation to continue.
The space was warm, welcoming, and clean. Frank was a great host!
Frank's home is super cozy and located within close distance to a lot of stores and venues. I felt immediately at home and welcomed by Frank, and the room I slept in was very warm and inviting, super comfy bed! Frank was very good about communication and was ready when I arrived to show me around the place. I just stayed overnight, but I would absolutely stay in Frank's cozy home again!
Great place, super host!
Always welcome!
Frank is an excellent host! I would absolutely book with him again next time I'm in Des Moines. Check-in was a breeze and communication before and during my stay was clear and helpful. Enjoyed chatting with Frank when we crossed paths. I knocked off a star for location just because there's not a lot happening in Waveland, but there are food options that Frank shared that are walkable and a grocery store and coffee shop 15 min by foot. And it's only a 10 min ride to the East Village and 15 min to the airport, so not inconvenient, and if you do want to walk, Frank's neighborhood is super cute. He may have the nicest front garden on the block. Frank made me feel welcome and at home and I recommend him as a host without hesitation.
Lovely hosting you! Always welcome.
Frank's place is a lovely oasis in the middle of Des Moines. He is always super friendly and extremely accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying at his place!
Frank's place is a beautiful, quiet space with a host you will find fascinating. Felt at home immediately, as he was so welcoming. Only downside was I couldn't stay longer.
Frank was a great host—very considerate and accommodating. House was perfect for what I needed while in town and exactly as described. Was great "home base" for work and it was great to have someone social to chat with and get to know. I'll definitely reach back out the next time I'm visiting the area!
You are a great guest! Come back anytime!
