The rules in general are very simple, we are a very open-minded gay couple. But please note: +Drugs and smoking in the apartment are not allowed, you can do it in the hallway or on the first floor. +You can use all areas of the apartment with the exception of our private room. +You can use the kitchen, the washing machine, the fridge and the TV. +You will be given a key and you must not lose it, otherwise you will be charged a surcharge of 10$, you must hand this key back on your last day with us. +You may come accompanied, but this person must not spend the night, otherwise a surcharge of $25 will be applied. +All music and noise must stop at 11:00 pm. +It is a shared bathroom so everyone in the apartment can use it.

Location, location, location. If you want to explore as much of the city in as little time as possible, this is the spot. Surrounding neighborhoods are very walkable and the bus rapid transit station across the street connects you to the rest of Medellin's excellent public transport system. The 24h bakery at the base of the building has excellent "tinto". Bring ******** for the bakery and to reload the transit card. Also easy to hail app-based rideshares in the area if you prefer that. My check-in occurred late at night due to my flight, but the hosts were responsive, friendly and accommodating. The building has 24h security and controlled access. The hosts gave good advice on what to see and do in the area. Reliable WiFi internet connection to stay connected and do any necessary work. The house cat is very sweet. I'd highly recommend for solo travelers or anyone who is new to Medellin.

Although the area is not considered one of Medellín's best areas, nevertheless it is relatively safe. One thing to consider is that it is located in a busy neighborhood with a lot of traffic. Since by the time I would go to bed, I was exhausted so I would fall asleep. Abel and Sam are amazing hosts. I felt they really care about my well-being. I would definitely will stay with them again.

Staying with Sam and Abel was an absolute delight. They're warm, caring, and incredibly friendly hosts who make you feel at home. The apartment is in a secure tower with a great community feel and ideal location. From the airport, take the US$5 bus downtown, then a short US$2–3 Uber. Nearby are a supermarket, 24-hour café, and a lovely local restaurant serving authentic Colombian meals. Sam and Abel offer great tips, local insights, and friendly conversation—highly recommended!
