About the Place

Two bedrooms (one air-conditioned double and one twin, both with en-suite bathrooms) in a large, tastefully decorated traditional French-style house. Bedding, sheets and towels are of the highest quality. Set in a large garden and wooded area, the house is in a very quiet location, just a few minutes' walk from the Loire River. A charming river café and a gastro pub are within easy walking distance (no need to drive!). Le Thoureil is right in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage area, with many castles, churches, abbeys, museums and vineyards in the immediate vicinity. Numerous jogging and cycling routes. Le Thoureil is owned by a multilingual couple (French, English, German and Spanish). And there's a complimentary glass of local bubbly on arrival! Breakfast is included in the daily rate.

Numerous churches, cloisters and picturesque châteaux to discover within a 50 km radius. Saumur and its world-famous equestrian center are 25 km away, and Angers 30 km. There are no LGBT venues in the immediate vicinity (best to travel to Angers!). Local restaurants and cafés are all LGBT Friendly.
