Hi and thanks for checking out our home! Allen and I (Mike) own a beautiful home on a park. It was built in 1911 and has all of the updated amenities. By booking a room with us, you will have a private room (13' x 13') with a full/queen size bed, a 50" flat screen TV and access to our WiFi. You will share a common bath located off our second floor foyer and be able to use our kitchen for filtered water, coffee and to store your left overs from dining out. We also will allow access to our large saltwater outdoor hot tub, heated salt water pool and enjoying the various common spaces to relax, including our wonderful enclosed and secure backyard and fantastic front porch swing with the view of the park and lake in front of our home. Our home is on a huge city park that is also shared with the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. We are within 2 miles of the city center and within 4.5 miles of The Ohio State University. If you are flying into visit our great town, the airport is less than 10 minutes away, or one exit ramp from getting on the highway.

Hi and thanks for checking out our home! Allen and I (Mike) are a married couple who have known each other for over 30+ years. We have been a couple since 2002. We are a caring and relaxed pair. We love dining out, traveling and dancing. We can certainly guide you to whatever works for you and also allow you to just relax. Our home is on a huge city park that is also shared with the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Downtown is within 2 miles from our home and O.S.U. is within 4.5 miles. We are in the Franklin Park / Olde Towne East historical neighborhoods. There are fantastic restaurants all around our immediate area and generally take less than 10 minutes by car or Uber. Same with gay bars. Tons, all styles and we can point you in that direction if interested.

We do have a friendly cat indoors who will check you out, but will certainly not disturb your stay. •If you would like to use our hot tub or steam shower (clothing optional), we request that you ask us to show you how it works on your first visit in. •If you need assistance with laundry, we request you consult us. •Parking for our home is located in front of the house on the street. •Additional guests of guests NOT registered will have a $35.00 add on fee charged to the guest per 3 hour period, renewable up to 6 hours per day.

I cannot say enough nice things about this rental, and these kind hosts. Truly, my only regret is that I didn't get to take advantage of more of the great hospitality. The pool, the hot tub, the common areas were all clean and beautiful and fun. The check-in and check-out process was so easy to manage. The neighborhood was really beautiful, even on rainy days. Plenty to do in the area, and lots of info provided on those options. I hope to visit again!

Mike and Allen's Place on the Park is my go-to destination whenever I visit Columbus, Ohio. I've stayed here several times in the past, and it always feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect—conveniently close to all the major attractions in Columbus, downtown, and just a short drive to my local family's residence. One of my favorite parts of staying here is the wonderful morning coffee breaks. Mike and Allen are such warm and engaging hosts, and sharing conversations with them is always a highlight of my day. They truly make you feel welcome and part of their community. Another gem of the experience is visiting the East Market restaurants, which are just a stone's throw away. The variety of food and the vibrant atmosphere of the market always add a special touch to my visits. If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay with hosts who genuinely care about their guests, I can't recommend Mike and Allen's Place on the Park enough. It's the perfect choice for anyone visiting Columbus!

Check our review for the downstairs suite also! Mike and Allen's (and their beautifully renovated 1911 home) is the perfect place for any gay man to stay. From the spacious hot tub (clothing fabulously optional!) To the formal dining room lined in a vast collection of glass and crystal to the top floor pub, this space goes far beyond any ordinary b&b. A charming room, a good sized shared bath (private in the suite downstairs) and the best hosts one could ask for made our wedding weekend perfect.

Mike and Allen have a beautiful home in the charming Franklin Park area . They have everything you would want at the house including a saltwater pool and hot tub. The house is beautifully furnished and Mike and Allen are great hosts . I highly recommend their accommodations!

Even if you weren't attending an event in the fabulous park across the street the place on the park would be a great stay in Columbus if you aren't into soulless corporate rooms. The house and gardens are as done as the photos would imply, and your hosts are as attentive as you would prefer— and sensitive enough to know if you don't want a distraction. Believe the raves, a comfortable stay in a beautiful home!

Mike and Allen are amazing hosts! I had never stayed in anything other then hotels and resorts so I was a tad nervous. After staying here, I won't do hotels again!! They are so friendly and save us great places to eat and visit. Woody (their cat) greeted us! The pool and hot tub was always clean. The house is so beautiful! Tons of things to see within walking distance. Anytime we visit Columbus, this is where we are staying!!!!
