The House on the Mountain is located in a small and quiet security complex, in the heart of Tamboerskloof. The house is halfway to Signal Hill. It is surrounded by the Cape Town Nature Reserve on three sides and the fourth side overlooks the City as well as Table Mountain.
It is 5 minutes driving to De Waterkant gay village, 10 minutes driving to Camps Bay beach and 15 minutes to the Clifton Beaches. Clifton 3rd beach is predominantly gay and is completely protected from the wind. It faces west so the sunsets are stunning, setting around 8 p.m. in summer.
Sandy Bay, the nude beach, is certainly a natural wonder just a little off the beaten track but well worth the effort once you get there. It has a wide white sandy beach surrounded by granite boulders and indigenous Cape shrub-land.
Every room has a flat screen TV and Netflix, a safe and a private bathroom.

The house on the slope of Signal Hill and you need to walk down 1.2 km to the nearist bus stop, but there are lots and very cheap Uber taxies. To really enjoy Cape Town and its stunning beautiful surroundings it is wise to rent a car.
