The Reveal
Bedroom in a luxury apartment, centrally located in the heart of Tromsø. The room has it’s own private bathroom with a shower, sink and a toilet directly accessible from the room.
In addition the apartment consists of a kitchen, lounge, living room, master bathroom and a laundry room.
Located within walking distance to the city center (5 min), most important bus connections and to many museums, attractions, tourist information and common pick-up points for tours.
The apartment is in a dignified villa in «The plush town» at the intersection between O.L Aunesgate and Kirkegårdsvegen. Built in 1921 by Tromsø's most famous mason and architect that have built many of the most well known buildings around in the city. The villa has been owned by us since 2010.
The apartment is fully equipped with all the necessary essentials such as towels, bed linens, kitchenware, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer etc, which you can use for free during your whole stay.

Outgoing, but down to earth guys. Love to travel, arrange dinners and other social get-together's for friends and family. Besides that we're very casual, tolerant and we enjoy meeting new people from around the globe to exchange experiences with.
When we're traveling outside of Norway, we're interested in the architecture of the city, the city life and meeting locals. Within Norway we'll prefer to travel where the nature is raw and untouched, whether or not it is in our local areas or not. Vienna is Joachim's favorite place in Europe and Lyngen is closest to his heart in Norway. Torvald is from Skjåk, which is on the valley "Gudbrandsdalen".
At the time Joachim is doing a Master degree in Computer Science at the University of Tromsø, and are hoping to graduate in june 2018. Torvald is planning to start his studies in 2016.
Our motto is (in Norwegian): "Etter nedtur kommer opptur", which means «After a downturn comes an upturn».

It is centrally located but in a quiet neighborhood in the old part of town. Close to the best places to spot to see the Midnight Sun or the Northen Lights (Aurora Borealis), such as Prestvannet, Fjellheisen - cabelcar, the Tromsø Brigde and more. The northern lights can also be seen from the balcony, patio and garden, just outside the apartment during winter, because of the big space between the houses.

The house is easy to travel from, both by car and public transit (busses, boats and plane). 5 minutes walk to the most popular bus connections, including a direct route to the airport.

We love to share our home with you and we also look forward to host upcoming guests and therefore ask you to not smoke inside or bring any pets, in case of allergies. Our apartment has two fireplaces, but the chimney in the living room is plumbed hence to heat leakage. The house consists of two apartments and we need to respect the common rule about keeping it quiet after 11pm, but we also have a common rule about being able to stay up and use normal indoor voice even after bedtime. We would appreciate it if you help us keep shared spaces cleared after usage. There will be given some additional instructions on recycling when you’ll arrive, including instruction on how to operate many of the equipment in apartment. There must be agreement concerning parking and to use of the facilities in the master bathroom. Enjoy your stay. Let us know if anything is unclear or have any other questions.

Joachim and Torvald's home (Tromsø Luxury Apartment) is awesome! They were both very accommodating during my stay and quick to respond with any questions during the booking process as well as in Tromsø. Their place was very clean with all of the necessities for my 3 night stay. The bedroom was a nice sanctuary while also having free reign of the house. The neighborhood is about a 10 minute walk from town with easy access to Public transit too. As a special treat one night, Joachim had dinner waiting when I arrived back at 1:30am from seeing the Northern Lights! Now that's making a guest feel at home!! I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me back to Tromsø!

Fabulous getaway with fantastic hosts. Traveling alone can be a mixed bag, but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Tromsø and meeting Joachim and Torvald. It was a jam-packed few days of sightseeing, but also had time to hang with these guys as well. I highly recommend stepping away from the normal holiday destinations and visiting Tromsø if you're easy going and looking for something out of the ordinary. Plus, staying with these guys in their warm and comfortable home is a bonus. K.D.! :-)
