Festivals. All throughout the year in Oliva, there is a multitude of festivals which stand out for their public participation, colour schemes and spectacular nature. They are major tourist attractions with diversely religious, popular and historical themes. Stand-out ones are the festivals of Moors and Christians, the Falles and the Holy Week festivities.
Oliva is situated in a privileged part of the Mediterranean, with numerous and wonderful beaches with fine golden sand and shallow waters which stretch out for 10 km, and are known all around Europe for their unrivalled beauty, naturalness and quality. These are characteristics which, together with the warm weather and a wide range of services, make Oliva’s beaches the perfect destination to enjoy a holiday at any time of the year.
For the most daring amongst you, Oliva has an endless variety of sailing sports, where you have access to two sailing schools, kitesurfing schools, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water-skiing and banana boats.
There’s also a kiteboarding area on the Oliva beach, managed by the Oliva Kiteboarding Club. Oliva has already become one of Spain’s leaders in this regard, due to its 300 metres in width and 100 metres for free sailing.
Furthermore, Oliva has many other activities such as dinghy sailing, catamarans and SUP (Stand-Up Paddle Surfing).
Oliva offers a large variety of horse riding activities. At the Marjal Pego-Oliva Natural Park, you can go on interesting excursions and strolls on horseback.
What’s more, the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (MET) welcomes the world’s best horse riders who gather every season in Oliva.
Oliva offers many opportunities for hiking lovers. The prettiest things are undoubtedly the seaside and mountain landscapes which can be seen from the highest points of our region.
Of all the routes, it’s worth highlighting the “Font del Frare” and “Font de Maria Rosa” walk, as it takes you to the highest point in Oliva, where you can behold some magnificent views of the districts of La Safor and La Marina. Moreover, the Covatelles trail will allow you to explore our town’s finest forests.

Although you won't find any out and proud gay bars or clubs the town is very gay friendly and some bars are gay owned and managed. Oliva held its first Gay pride in June 2021 , which is now a growing yearly event
