THE ESTATE: Château d'Aiguevive is located in the Dordogne, near Sarlat, in the heart of the highly sought-after Périgord Noir tourist region, in the golden triangle of the Dordogne Valley, which has been awarded the "Site Majeur d'Aquitaine" label.

The 7.5-hectare estate includes an elegant 18th-century noble residence, two beautiful outbuildings, a 15th-century mill, and was "for many years the studio of the great artist Lucien de Maleville, whose brush sang with a very personal genius of the charm of the Périgord Noir". (J. Secret)

The property overlooks the historic Bastide de Domme, and boasts a monumental, spring-fed, masonry pool for swimmers.

Domaine d'Aiguevive also boasts a water mill for walnut oil production, which I can show you around.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Domaine d'Aiguevive is located 1 minute from the center of the village of Cénac-et-Saint-Julien and 2 minutes from the banks of the Dordogne. The village has a full range of shops and services.

The farmers' and craftsmen's market takes place every Tuesday throughout the year.

The estate is ideally located 10 minutes from the center of the renowned town of Sarlat, 5 minutes from Domme airfield, 30 minutes from Souillac train station (Paris), 20 minutes from Saint-Cyprien train station (Bordeaux).

GETTING AROUND: You can walk to the village along the Domaine's bridle path or through the walnut grove.

In the village, you can rent bicycles to explore the valley via the towpaths, or paddles and kayaks to navigate the Dordogne River and discover the majestic villages of La Roque-Gageac, Beynac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle and Les Milandes.

Access to the village by car and parking are easy.
