The apartment is part of a quiet and safe residential area in Solheimsviken, just a two minute away from Danmarksplass, with excellent connections to both tram (line 1 Airport-City Center) and several buses. City bikes and scooters are also easily available in the area. Walking to the city center is also possible (20 min).
The apartment is 87 m2 big and is located on the ground floor. Your private bedroom is 12 m2, north-faced, overlooking a common traffic-free, residential green area, over the background mountains. Thus, the room is pretty quiet. The room fits a 80 cm day-bed, which can be extended to a 160 cm double bed. It also contains a closet, desk, mirror and office chair.
The bedroom comes along a private bathroom, recently upgraded, equipped with a bathtub, shower and Japanese-style flush toilet. Washing machine and tumble-dryer are also available. Towels and hair dryer are provided, as well as shampoo and gel.
You will be sharing the apartment with us. Besides your private bedroom and bathroom, the common areas include a big living room and a kitchen. The living room has access to a back yard, south oriented. The kitchen is equipped with induction stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher and cooking equipment. It also has a big dining table.
The apartment is part of a residential area and we like to secure pleasantness for guests and neighbors.
Inside the apartment we only sometimes smoke aromatic tobacco in water pipe (shisha). Otherwise, smoking of cigarettes is only allowed in the backyard. Illegal substances are not welcome.
Despite both being animal lovers, we do not unfortunately accept pets in the apartment.
We do not have private parking space. Bergen municipality offers paid parking spaces for visitors in the area. There is a charge from Monday to Friday from 8 AM-11 PM, and from 8 AM-5 PM on Saturdays. Parking outside these times is free. Visitor parking fee is NOK 22 per hour, NOK 330 per day.

Right outside our door is the hiking trail to Løvstakken, very popular with the locals, with beautiful views of the city and the western and southern areas surrounding Bergen. Other popular hikes, such as Ulriken, Damsgårdsfjell or Lyderhorn are also relatively close.
The area around Danmarksplass has grown and developed rapidly in recent years, with several restaurants for all tastes and pockets, also takeaways (Hangry Hub, Ostra, Arti Indian, Mr Dalmascy, Bergtatt, Sumo sushi, Peppe's pizza) cafes (Baker Brun, Colonialen Kranen) and bars (Bien Snackbar). The area has several grocery stores close at hand (Coop Extra, Rema1000, Kiwi and Oliven Mat). The city center is easily accessible by streetcar, on foot or by bicycle/scooter. The only official LGBTQ+ coffee shop/pub/club in town is Fincken, about a 20-minute walk away.
