If you enjoy biking, hiking, volleyball on the beach, swimming in the open ocean or simply a dip in a waterfall, there is something for all tastes. All of this overlooking an overwhelming natural beauty from the Cidade Maravilhosa , or the Wonderful City, as it has been named. Professional athletes give volleyball and foot volleyball classes on the sands of Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, Boat Tours as well as swimming on open beach waters too. All only a few blocks away from the apartment. Summer is Great with several Blocos de Carnaval such as Banda de Ipanema , Simpatia é Quase Amor "Cordão do Bola Preta" in Downtown, among other traditional "Blocos". The parades on the streets are free in Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches on the many weeks prior to Carnaval throughout the entire Rio de Janeiro Summer. All Samba Schools start rehearsals in January and are open to the public. So, if you cannot be in Rio for the real thing, you can still have a blast during Summer at their rehearsal locations, the Quadras from each of the hottest Samba Schools that makes Rio de Janeiro The Place of the Best Carnaval in the World. Of course, there are many other attractions such as the best live Brazilian music in Lapa, pubs and clubs for all tastes within blocks.
