Just a few steps away you’ll find lively plazas like Plaza de la Cebada and Plaza de la Paja, full of terraces and local life. On Sundays, don’t miss El Rastro, Madrid’s famous open-air market — colorful, fun, and very LGBTQ+-friendly, especially around La Latina and Lavapiés.
Tapas, cafés & local spots
La Latina is one of the best areas in Madrid for tapas and casual dining. I recommend walking along Cava Baja and Cava Alta for traditional and modern Spanish food. For coffee and brunch, Ruda Café, Delic, and Federal Café (nearby) are great options. The neighborhood is relaxed, social, and very welcoming.
