Montpellier, one of the most gay friendly cities in France, will host the winner of the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest on June 21.
French national channel France 2 organizes every year a big concert on the night of the « fête de la musique ». And Conchita Wurst will be the star of the evening, set in Montpellier on June 21.
Also performing, many French artists, such as Kendji, winner of the french edition of The Voice, accompanied by The Gypsies but also Tal, Nolwenn Leroy, Alizée, Christophe Maé, Patrick Fiori and Julie Zénatti. After her triumph, Conchita, whose real name is Tom Neuwirth, has agreed to sing her famous song "Rise like a Phoenix" which allowed her to get the title.
The bearded singer is now the focus of international media news. After denying rumors that she will join Lady Gaga on tour, she was recently spotted at the Life Ball in Vienna with designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. She will also be present at the closing ceremony of the Gay Pride in Antwerp on August 10.
