Welcome to Vienna - in the middle of life, very close to Schweglerstrasse!
My apartment is located in the 15th district, a colorful, exciting part of the city - not overrun by tourists, but very well connected (U3 Schweglerstraße just around the corner) and full of cool bars, cafés and little discoveries.
☕ Breakfast? You bet! Prepare it yourself at home or in a typical Viennese café!
Kriemhild is a classic Viennese coffee house with great pastries and a cozy atmosphere. Augustin serves breakfast with charm - a bit vintage, a bit hip, super nice. And at Kent, you can get oriental breakfast platters that are almost too good to eat (but only almost).
🍽 Hungry? No problem.
The Bieriger is a rustic Viennese pub with honest food and a great lunch menu. If you prefer oriental cuisine, Kent also serves great grilled food in the evening. For something lighter (or spicier): All Reis is a cool Thai takeaway with authentic flavors. And many more, pizza, pasta, Serbian, Romanian, the street is full of restaurants.
🍷 A drink in the evening? Gladly.
Nearby you'll find Exil - relaxed, alternative, always good for a beer or a glass of wine. Or Café Cache, a small, hidden place with a living room atmosphere and a friendly crowd. Perfect for unwinding. There are also numerous cafés and bars in the immediate vicinity.
🌈 And if you're in the mood for queer nightlife:
Vienna has a colorful scene with lots of great bars - I like to go myself when it suits! Here are a few tips: easy to reach on foot or even quicker with the U3 subway
Felixx - stylish, cozy, good drinks
Village - lively, relaxed, often with drag or karaoke
Savoy - classic, historic, very charming
Eagle, Sling, Hard On, Kaiserbründl - more for the adventurous 😉
Kiss Bar - small, nice, very local
You decide how much peace and quiet or action you want - everything is possible, nothing is a must. And if you have any questions or need tips: I'm here.
