When I arrived there was no electricity for the facility. My taxi driver spoke to another tennant in the building, who had electricity and she gave him, the Taxi driver the name of the local manager, who when the Taxi Drive called explained that the Owner knew that the Electric Bill had not been paid, and did nothing about this situation. I expect a full refund, as I had to find another place to stay, and I returned to Las Vegas, NV the next day, as I could not find another suitable accommodations, it was December 24, 2023. I was there for 7 days with no electricity. No Wi-Fi, no hot water, it wasn't a fun week at all.

It's well located and you have everything you need for your accommodation.

I'm already planning my return trip I'm heartbroken to leave! The staff will do absolutely anything for you( te amo Victor ♥). It's somehow peacefully quiet and Breezy on a hill over all the action -it's only two blocks away from the main drag- some mornings a hilarious rooster stuck his head in my window and cockadoodledoo'd at 8:30am giving me just enough time to get down to the pancake house before there was a mad Crush to eat the best breakfast I ever had in my life. Gay beach is a couple more blocks beyond that the water is Devine so are the other people on the beach and in the house 💜💛🖤💚🤎💙♥

Casa Alta Vista is similar to a hostel in that you have common rooms: bathroom, kitchen, common area. Fortunately, there are no bunk beds in the rooms :-) The host was very informative about getting from the airport to the house which I paid attention to in the first half and not the second half. Don't make my mistake. The home is open to the outside (the temp is 75-85 F most of the time) and the rooms are not air-conditioned. There is a long-term guest at the house, Victor, who met me, gave me a quick tour, and proved to be indispensable during my stay. I was in town to look at investment properties and become familiar with the city. Victor took me to see the inside of one of the condo buildings, and we spoke for 4 hours my first night, greatly alleviating my stress from the airport and arrival. The home is very close to the old Malecon and the very gay areas of town. The walk home is only uphill for 4 blocks - the convenience is kind of ridiculous. I ate out half the time and Victor cooked for me the rest of the time. It was the rainy season, and so every afternoon at 4P, rivers of water fell out of the sky. I am from California and it is so dry here that I love tropical rain beyond description. If this is your thing, this is the time of year to visit. If it is not, then I would recommend a different season.

Authentic Mexican style house with functional amenities. Loved the location! Exactly what was described and suited my needs perfectly.

We have been frequent users of Mister BandB and have had great experiences in the past. The host reviews of us has always been very positive, and we are not difficult guests. But this place is an exception. The hill up to the house is a killer, and the neighborhood is 3rd world poverty. The house was not very clean, and had what looked like black mold growing on a ceiling from an open-air patio. The host claimed it was black algae, but it looked and smelled like mold to me. No hot water, a moveable bathroom sink, and sharing one bathroom with everyone who stays there, including the host, are all examples of why you don't want to stay here.

DeWayne is very friendly and goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable.

Hosts don't come better than Dewayne except for his Akita who is nicer and better looking. My room was immaculately clean. Dewayne is a transplanted Texan and loves to talk about his adopted city. If you want to be in a hotel stay in one if you want to stay with a friend this is the place.

The down side is cleanliness. The dog loose a lot of hair. So even after the maid cleaned, the dog hair is everywhere. But super host, very nice person, very welcoming, good location, confortable bed. I was able to check out late, which was very nice!
