Casa Tua a Porta Maggiore

The Esquilino is the fifteenth district of Rome: stretches from Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Santa Maria Maggiore, Via Giolitti to Via Merulana; its center is Piazza Vittorio. Esquilino is also one of the historic seven hills of Rome, extended the nearby Monti neighborhood. The Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme is on the southern summit of the Esquiline, between the amphitheater Castrense and the Aurelian Walls, and is one of the oldest churches in Rome. It belongs to the tour of the Seven Churches, that once the pilgrims visited on foot. The relics of the Passion of Christ make the famous basilica in the world. The church has the largest share of the cross of Jesus, discovered, according to tradition, by St. Helena in the Holy Land; the cross of the Good Thief, the one crucified on Jesus' right; a finger of St. Thomas, the apostle who doubted dell'avvenuta resurrection of Christ; a part of the inscription INRI, written in Hebrew, Latin and greek.
