The Reveal

Quiet, peaceful, restful country house on 15 acres with a private little lake. Two guest rooms available with own bath, shared house. Entire house is available upon request. Relax and enjoy the beauty of nature, wander the gardens, hike in the woods, swim in the lake. Single owner with friendly dog!

A visit by car is ideal as the location is very rural, but very close to dining, entertainment, shopping, nature and agricultural sights. If arriving via train from NYC, best to take Metro North, Harlem line, to Harlem Valley Wingdale, then a 20 minute cab ride to the house in Warren (approximately $60, no Uber or Lyft in this area) Please contact me for more transportation options.

Breakfast will be provided. Lunch and dinners can be arranged or plan on bringing food if not traveling by car. Full kitchen and outside grill available. for your use.

I had a fabulous weekend at John's home in beautiful northwest Connecticut. We communicated in advance about the usual accommodation related information and especially about being a guest and hosting in the time of Covid. I really appreciated having that common ground in advance of my visit. John is an exceptionally gracious host--he knows how to make you feel welcome immediately. His home is immaculate and full of interesting art and furniture. The setting brings the experience to an even higher level with the house sitting above a mesmerizing view of the pond. I had such a relaxing weekend--whether hanging out by the pond or on the stone patio or hiking in a nearby state park. Such a wonderful escape especially during this challenging time. Thanks John!

One can't wish for a better host or a more beautiful and serene place than this. Both the house, beautifully furnished, and the gardens will take your breath away. And John is the best.....he immediately made me feel at home and after 5 days in his place we parted as friends. I'll for sure be back soon!

Beautiful home in an ideal location. John couldn't been more hospitable, we have wonderful conversation and great times. It was amazing to feel the grass under my feet, swim in the natural pond and just be in the natural sounds of the world. The bed was comfortable and soft with plenty of linens and a beautiful bathroom. Thank you again for the relaxing environment and beautiful home.
