😊Hi - I'm a gay expat from the USA living in Amsterdam and love meeting new people.

I’m going to start with a few important house rules since a lot of people ask me this 🙂 1. No guests 2. No smoking 3. No drugs

That said - My home is in a vibrant gay area and is 5-7 minutes walking from Central Station and has an elevator.

The available room is cozy 😊! When you walk in the entryway space is about 1 meter by 1.7 meters (or about 3 feet by 5 feet). Then the sleeping area fits a queen-size bed and this space is about 2.6 meters by 1.8 meters OR (about 9 feet by 6 feet). There is no closet space - so with 2 regular pieces of luggage, it gets very cozy 😊. The kitchen is available if you want to make a meal and you’re welcome to hang out in the living room and make yourself comfortable. I do have Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime. Please check out the photos to get a better idea.

The home is a split level and does have the infamous steep Dutch stairs. 1. Downstairs is the kitchen, dining area, living room, toilet. 2. Upstairs are the bedrooms, and shower/bathroom, toilet.

*Important Notes: 1. 🕒 When you request to "book" please let me know what time you'll be arriving in Amsterdam and departing. 1. 🧗‍♂The stairs are narrow, and you must be comfortable with narrow stairs as the bedrooms are upstairs. 2. 🏠The room is small, but you are welcome to use the living room to hang out and feel comfortable. 3. 🍳I do have a full kitchen, you are welcome to use it, but please do clean up after yourself (there is a dishwasher) and nearly everything is dishwasher safe.

Around the house - There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the house. Also, there are a lot of fast food places to eat which are open until 2/3 AM (every day). Also, there is a grocery store that's a 5-minute walk away (Albert Heijn) which closes at 9 PM daily.

Extra information:  * ⌚Check-in: Mostly flexible (24 hours) keep in mind, I do work 9 AM -5 AM Monday to Friday (at home so I’m at home most of the day), but we can always discuss and try to sort things out. Please let me know what time you are thinking of arriving by (train/bus/airplane) - if it's outside of my working hours, I can meet you at Central Station. * 🚲Bike Rental - there is a place 1 minute walking from my house * 🌇Tourist office - there is a place 1 minute walking from my house

This is my home and please respect it as a home. 1. No smoking 2. No drugs (this includes marijuana) 3. No guests - the two bars next door are cruising bars (if you feel the need) and the sauna is behind the house. 4. No loud noises after 11 PM (but you are welcome to come and go any time of the night) - again just be conscious and courteous of the next-door neighbors. 5. If you lose the keys it is €25 (they aren’t easy to copy and it’s a process to get another copy). 6. I do have a camera in the front entrance and living room area and my hallway (for safety). They are on when no one is home (and you can see the blue light if they are running).

Hunter is lovely, welcoming, and very helpful. His house is nice and cozy, and the location is very central, especially convenient if you're arriving or leaving by train, as it's very close to the central station. The place is exactly as described. The room is on the smaller side, but honestly, with so much to explore in the city, you probably won't be spending much time in it anyway! I would definitely stay again.

Hunter's apartment is clean, comfortable and perfectly located for a break in Amsterdam. He was a really friendly host, very hospitable and generous, and had plenty of recommendations for places to go. He couldn't have been more helpful. I'd definitely recommend!

I had a great stay with Hunter at his home in Amsterdam. Hunter is a great host that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The location is just as described, very short walking distance from the train station. Located in a popular area, lots of restaurants and shopping as well as gay venues nearby. I highly recommend staying with Hunter!

Hunter is an excellent human being. He was attentive, respectful, generous ( he bought a cake for my birthday!!, something that I will never forget by the way) kind, open minded and extremely polite. I have no words to describe my satisfaction at his home during my visit to Amsterdam! I highly recommend him as a host. He is the best!! Thank you Hunter for your hospitality :)

Hunter and his place were nothing short of fantastic. He helped make check-in very easy by meeting me at the station and provided a a very comfy room. He gave me some great recommendations for restaurants as well! Highly recommend.
