Welcome to our home!** I am David and my husband, and we’re delighted to host you in our four-floor apartment, located in a beautifully renovated canal house dating from 1930. Your room is on the first floor.

We offer two guest rooms: one overlooking the quiet back of the house and one facing the front. Each room includes a private shower and toilet, a TV, free Wi-Fi, a quality king-size bed, a fridge, and coffee and tea facilities.

Our home is situated in the historic Centre of Amsterdam, just a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Most attractions are within walking distance, and from Central Station you have access to local trams, buses, and national and international trains. Museum Square, home to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, is easy to reach as well. Our street has numerous bars, and the entire city is walkable. The closest LGBTQ bar is Queen’s Head. We speak English, Dutch, and some French.

The Oudezijds Voorburgwal dug between ******** is the oldest Canal in Amsterdam. It was once ******** Rampart), a reference to the wealthy families who lived here, often dressed in velvet to display their prosperity.

Most houses along the canal have been restored to their original appearance. A beautiful example is the Huis aan de Drie Grachten (House on the Three Canals) at the end of the Oudezijds Voorburgwal, featuring a gable stone engraved with the historic name Fluweelen Burgwal.
