Charming and cozy room in an apartment in the heart of Amsterdam. I am offering a great room to experience a central, yet not touristy neighborhood of Amsterdam, for a fun, yet peaceful experience. The apartment is very close to Amsterdam Centraal, is within walking distance to grocery stores, cafes and public transportation in the lovely neighborhood of Plantage/ Weesperbuurt. The apartment is 5 minutes away from Artis and the Holocaust Museum. It is 20 minutes away (by walking) from the Reguliersdwarsstraat, where most of the gay bars are.
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator, but the steps are thankfully not steep. The apartment boasts a chic and cozy living room combined with a large dining table, kitchen with the necessary appliances, a 65" flat screen smart TV with high speed wi-fi, as well as a big couch that can easily fit 2-3 people. The toilet is separated from the bathroom in a typical Dutch fashion. In the hallway, next to your left, you will find the main bedroom which you will be staying at. It is a big bedroom at 16m2 (168 square feet), offering a large 180*200 bed, and a big balcony with ample storage space. Right across your bedroom, you will have the bathroom, spacious, clean and comfortable, with a bathtub and a decent sized sink. You are also more than welcome to use the washer and drier if you need. Then, at the end of the hallway, you will find the second bedroom / study, where I will be staying at. This room looks into the backyard which, if we can align, you can have your breakfasts at. The apartment boasts 3 balconies all available for you to use.

1) Please remember that you will be sharing an apartment with someone else during your stay, therefore, please be considerate.
2) Since I am not a professional host, communication is the key. If something is not to your liking, or something is missing, please tell me so, I will try to come up with solutions on the spot to my best ability.
3) Shoes off in the house please. If you forget something and let's say you need to come back and grab it, it is fine to not take your shoes off, but when hanging out in the apartment no shoes please.
4) As long as you tell me in advance (you don't need permission), you can have anything in the fridge you want, or the alcohol that I have in the cabinet. Just kindly requesting you to tell me in advance.
5) You are not required to clean or do the dishes, but please kindly leave things as they are (e.g., putting your dishes in the dishwasher, not leaving your take out boxes out on the table, washing the pans you use for cooking etc.).
6) If you are coming as a single person, you can bring temporary guests or friends, but they are not allowed to stay over for the night. If you are coming as a couple, also the apartment cannot accommodate a third person. Bringing someone in for hooking up is ok, but no staying over :) Also, please do your own screening and don't bring people into my apartment that give untrustworthy vibes :).
7) You will be staying in the main room of the house, so a designated storage area will be given to you in that room. The other areas will still have my stuff in them, so please kindly use the storage area to be pointed out by me. (There is a lot of storage space, no worries :) ). If you want to stay in the second bedroom, tell me so in advance. It can be arranged and it has a dedicated workspace, but I prefer to have the dedicated workspace, as I mostly work from home. But again, if you are coming over holidays/in the weekend, anything can be solved with clear communication :).
8) If you have a service animal, you are more than welcome to bring it, but please bear in mind that the apartment is not well equipped to handle (large) dogs. This is for your own convenience. Cats are more than welcome :)))
9) No smoking or vaping inside the house, but I have 3 balconies, you are more than welcome to smoke/vape there.
These rules are non-exhaustive and will be updated regularly. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me :)
