The guest house was founded by the family of current manager, Peter Wild, in 1960, and since then the team at Pension Wild have endeavored to provide a welcoming, bespoke stay for all guests.

Pension Wild offers a mix of rooms and apartments, which are catered to different budgets and occupancies. Whichever option you select, you can be treated to an old-world style aesthetic that is reminiscent of Vienna’s stately past. If you are traveling in numbers, we suggest the Apartment which can sleep up to four people, and will make you feel like you’ve created a real home away from home.

Rooms feature sound-insulated windows, cold foam mattresses to ensure a decent slumber, and furniture by Voglauer - Austria’s most exclusive supplier for hotels. Opt for one of the luxury-category rooms, and you’ll also be treated to a mini bar, offering very competitive drink and snack prices.

Pension Wild began with a vision. A vision by Peter Wild’s late mother, Maria Wild. Maria accommodated a range of guests when she began renting rooms out in the building in 1960. Her warm and hospitable spirit gave both her, and the guest house, an international reputation, and she would even be known to stand inside Vienna’s central train station, and approach travelers to ask them if they were looking for a place to stay in the city.
