Pride.be in Brussels is the largest LesBiGayTrans and Inter party in Belgium. This year it takes place over three days: from May 14 to 16. The first day is dedicated to gender issues, the second day is dedicated to parties and anniversaries.
May 16 will start with a mass followed by the opening of the PrideVillage with a contest for the most beautiful stand. In the early afternoon, the PrideParade with a contest for the most beautiful float will start at 2 pm. It will be followed by a big musical party of eight hours non-stop with DJ sets.
At 11pm the PrideParties will take place. Why is Pride.be brussels organized? This big party is not only organized for the LGBTQI community but also for the people of Brussels and all Belgians and foreigners who want to join the festivities.
Pride.be is also essential to defend the acquired rights of the LGBTQI community but also for the rights for all, to change mentalities, to help fight against phobias of all kinds, to make known and understand the lesbigaytrans culture, to be an example in the whole world and to support all those who need it. These long term objectives will allow one day the lesbigays to no longer be in a minority and to have equal physical, psychological, social and cultural opportunities.By whom is Pride.be organized ?
In 1996, it is an association which organizes this festival. It is then called Belgian Lesbian and Gay Pride or BLGP and becomes The Belgian Pride in 2010. Its ambition is now to be the Pride of everyone. At the beginning, the first Pride saw 2,000 participants to reach more than 100,000 now. This year, the Pride celebrates its 20th anniversary and plans a party that will live up to its ambitions.
