Your queer home: comfort and community in the Venus-WG Berlin

Immerse yourself in a unique living atmosphere at the former Venus neighborhood movie theater. Today, it’s the vibrant home base of the blu Media Group—the largest publisher of queer media in the German-speaking world—and our lively Venus shared apartment! Chris (f), Chris (m), and Ed (m) live here with their four charming cats in a 320-square-meter space plus rooftop terraces, and they look forward to welcoming queer and queer-friendly guests from all over the world.

Your perfect retreat with plenty of space Relax in one of our cozy rooms and enjoy the comforts of an apartment with two large rooftop terraces and a lounge-style sunroom/fireplace room with a wood-burning stove. These are, of course, available for you to share—perfect for soaking up the Berlin sun or winding down the day with a drink, a movie, or a book in front of the fireplace. Or would you like to take a full bath with massage and whirlpool features?

You’ll also have access to a coffee maker and your own refrigerator (or a compartment in it). Optionally, you can also enjoy the culinary skills of your roommates. And we’ve set aside a bike for you to use for free.

Green, quiet, and well-connected The area around Obersee is beautifully green and offers a relaxing oasis far from the hustle and bustle of the big city. From here, it’s the ideal starting point for exploring the diverse eastern part of Berlin.

Getting Here:

It’s super easy to reach us from the main train station: The M5 takes you directly to the “Freienwalder Str.” stop in about 45 minutes without having to transfer. From there, it’s just a 3-minute walk to our place.

Important note for night owls:

The trendy hotspots in Schöneberg are about a 45-minute ride away by public transportation. So be sure to allow some extra time if you want to dive into Berlin’s vibrant nightlife.
