Welcome to The Fairfax Bungalow, a private, clothing-optional, masculine retreat in the heart of Los Angeles. With French doors that open to the pool and jacuzzi, this is the kind of place designed for solo travelers or couples who appreciate design, comfort, and connection.
THE SPACE
Your standalone bungalow includes a queen bed with fresh linens, a full private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a functional kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, tea setup, blender, filtered water, and complimentary drinks. The Smart TV includes free Spectrum cable and streaming apps. Heating and air conditioning provide year-round comfort. A full-length mirror, iron, luggage rack, and plush bath sheets are also included.
POOL & JACUZZI
Private: No bathing suit required! Step outside your door to a year-round pool surrounded by lush greenery and privacy. The jacuzzi can be heated from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with advance notice for a small additional fee. Pool towels are provided, and the setting is ideal for a relaxing night in after hitting West Hollywood. Want company during your stay? Contact your hosts; they are often around and happy to join you for a dip in the pool or a cocktail in the jacuzzi! Dan can also provide massages for an additional fee.
PRIVACY & SECURITY

Just outside your door you’ll find the very best of Los Angeles. We’re only a 1-minute walk to the Sunset Strip and a 5-minute Uber to the epicenter of the gay world in West Hollywood. From sunrise hikes to late-night dancing, everything you came for is right here.
Start your mornings with a hike at Runyon Canyon, famous for its sunrise views of Hollywood, the city skyline, and the Hollywood Sign. If you’re in the mood for more exploring, head to Griffith Park & Observatory for trails, history, & photo ops. You will be steps from Hollywood Boulevard, the Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, and quieter gems like Wattles Mansion & Gardens, a beautiful historic estate with scenic grounds.
Of course, West Hollywood is the heartbeat of LA’s LGBTQ+ community. Legendary venues like The Abbey (cocktails, drag brunch, and late-night parties) and Micky’s (high-energy dancing into the early morning) are just minutes away. For something more low-key, Mother Lode and Trunks offer dive-bar charm and friendly crowds, while G.Y.M. Bar is perfect if you want to catch a game in a relaxed, guy-friendly setting.
But the gay scene doesn’t stop at WeHo. A short drive east takes you to Silver Lake, known for its creative, alternative LGBTQ+ vibe. Akbar is the neighborhood’s iconic queer dive bar, with strong drinks, dance nights, and an artsy crowd that feels distinctly different from the glam of WeHo. And if you’re up for venturing downtown, venues like Redline (drag shows and themed events) and Precinct (a massive queer nightclub with multiple dance floors) round out LA’s diverse queer nightlife. West Hollywood also has a vibrant recovery community, with welcoming sober spaces and meetings close by. Whether you’re here to enjoy the nightlife or prefer a low-key, alcohol-free vibe, you’ll find options that make you feel right at home. Poolside privacy of The Fairfax Bungalow allows you to be in a free, clothing-optional environment, choose to interact with the hosts, or take some alone time. Need a grocery store? Bristol Farms is less than half a block away, right on Sunset & Fairfax. Looking for a Whole Foods, it's a short walk down Fairfax right at Santa Monica Blvd. Here on the weekend and want to explore WeHo? The WeHo Trolley is free; it's just a short walk down to Fairfax & Santa Monica Blvd. Happy Hour recommendations sorted by walking distance from the bungalow: ********
