The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneCozyInsta-WorthyRelaxingCentral location

My home is a small, cozy apartment in Kreuzberg, one of Berlin’s most vibrant and queer-friendly neighbourhoods. You’ll be staying with me, Harry — a gay British host — in a relaxed, lived-in shared space.

The apartment has a double bed and a single bed in a separate room, but please note it’s still a shared setup with limited privacy, so it’s best suited to open-minded, easygoing guests who are comfortable sharing space rather than looking for a private hotel-style stay.

Kreuzberg is full of great cafés, bars, galleries, and LGBTQ+ spots, all within walking distance, with excellent public transport connections to the rest of the city. My place is ideal if you want an affordable, friendly base and a chance to experience Berlin like a local.

Hey, I’m Harry — a British filmmaker and producer living in Berlin. you’ll usually find me swimming, cycling, long walks through the city, or dancing until late. I love staying active and feeling connected — to places and peop;e. Open, confident, and playful. I’m social and grounded/ ’m just as happy sharing a workout, a sauna, or a slow drink that turns into a long conversation. Sporty, tactile, and community-minded. I believe attraction grows through presence, humour, and shared experiences. Queer spaces — whether that’s gyms, dance floors, or living rooms — are where I feel most alive.

LGBTQ+ Bars & Queer Nightlife

A few standout spots worth visiting:

BLOND Cocktail Bar — stylish but relaxed Schöneberg cocktail bar with a mixed queer crowd and good early-evening energy. Café-Bar Himmelreich — one of the friendlier Friedrichshain gay bars; easy place to start a night. BULL Berlin — cruisier, leather-adjacent Schöneberg energy. Lab.oratory — legendary fetish/cruising institution connected to Berlin’s more underground queer culture. Roses — iconic glitter-pink Kreuzberg queer bar with chaotic Berlin energy. Möbel Olfe — one of the city’s classic queer meeting points around Kotti.

For bigger nights:

Berghain — still deeply tied to queer nightlife culture. SchwuZ — large queer club with drag, pop nights, live performances, and community events. SO36 — punk/queer Kreuzberg institution. Queer Cafés & Community Spots Romeo und Romeo — classic queer café in Schöneberg for breakfast, cake, and people-watching. Love Story Of Berlin — brilliant queer/LGBTQ+ bookstore in Prenzlauer Berg with art books, theory, fiction, zines, and community events. Prinz Eisenherz — historic LGBTQ+ bookstore near Nollendorfplatz. Sofia — not explicitly queer, but very Kreuzberg queer-adjacent café/bar energy. An einem Sonntag im August — iconic Prenzlauer Berg café/bar for long summer evenings. Restaurants Worth Visiting

Berlin’s food scene is huge, but a few consistently good spots nearby:

House of Small Wonder — beautiful Japanese-inspired café with greenhouse aesthetics. BLESS Restaurant — stylish Asian fusion if you want something more polished. Restaurant Facil — high-end Michelin-starred dining for a special night.

For more casual Berlin queer-energy dining:

Kreuzberg around Oranienstraße Weserstraße in Neukölln Akazienkiez in Schöneberg

...are often more interesting than destination restaurants themselves.

Cultural & Local Attractions

Some places nearby that fit Berlin’s artistic/queer atmosphere:

Tempelhofer Feld — former airport turned giant public park. Schwules Museum — one of the world’s major LGBTQ+ museums and archives. Hamburger Bahnhof — contemporary art museum with strong installation/video work. Kottbusser Tor — messy, cha

otic, politically charged heart of Kreuzberg nightlife.

Teufelsberg — abandoned Cold War listening station with graffiti and forest views.

Host recommendations

Please treat the apartment with care and respect and make yourself at home while you’re here. I want the space to feel relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming. A few simple house rules: • Small gatherings/drinks are fine if i am also there, but please no big parties or large events • Keep noise reasonable later at night and be respectful of neighbours • No smoking inside the apartment but i have a balcony. • Please clean up after yourself and treat the space thoughtfully • Let me know if anything gets damaged or if something isn’t working properly Berlin’s queer scene is amazing and I’m always happy to share recommendations for LGBTQ+ bars, clubs, cafés, art spaces, cruising spots, saunas, or local favourites depending on what you’re into. Good vibes, mutual respect, and clear communication go a long way — enjoy your stay :)
