My home is ideal for long stays, working from home and, in my spare time, having the help of a local to get to know the city for the first time.
Here you are safe and very close to many beautiful places that only a local knows.
I accompany my guests to get to know the city - free of charge. You only pay for transportation, Uber or a bicycle if you don't want to walk.
But the luxury is precisely in being able to get to know many beautiful places on foot, just by walking a bit and being guided by a local friend.
I've hosted many guests from all over the world, and they all love the surroundings of my house, the natural landscapes, our culture, the cuisine, the music and the energy of Rio.
We can explore together: Street markets. Samba circles. Cultural events. Natural landscapes. Beautiful places that exist right here near my home.
Here with me, your trip won't be about the obvious gay tourism: going to the beach and gay bars. Only if you want to.
The most beautiful place in the world, Sugarloaf Mountain, is about a 28-minute walk away. And if you like hiking, we can climb Morro da Urca on foot, through the Atlantic forest. We can climb Pedra do Leme, a beautiful place. We can go to Aterro do Flamengo, go to Santa Teresa, ride the cable car...
Copacabana and Leme beaches are about a 5-minute walk away. You can get to the Metro in 8 minutes.
I live in a village of centuries-old houses. It's a closed street, safe and generally very quiet. The room is excellent, with lots of natural light. Fresh air, air conditioning. Suspended bench. Ergonomic chair for working from home. The room is next to the main bathroom in the house.
The kitchen is large, with utensils and equipment, so you can prepare your own snacks and meals.
On the upper floor of the house I have 2 bedrooms dedicated to guests. Therefore, other people can be in the house during your stay. The bedroom doors have electronic locks.
The police chief of Copacabana lives within the villa, and we are very close to a large shopping center (Shopping Rio Sul). For these reasons, a police vehicle is always parked on the sidewalk, with officers on duty 24 hours a day, near the entrance to the villa.
My house is far from the entrance to favelas and dangerous places.
There's a public bicycle stand right in front of the villa, just cross the avenue, rent a bike and ride around the city. And if you want, I'll come with you and show you my favorite places.
This great public bicycle system has dedicated lanes throughout the South Zone, Copacabana, Ipanema... and they can easily be used with Uber.
Don't go to Christ the Redeemer by Uber. The boarding point for the official van is very close to my house, about a 6-minute walk.
Gay / queer places: Lpanema beach is the gayest beach. The strip of beach between Posto 8 and Posto 9, at the beach huts from 55 to 65, is the city's main gay meeting point. An open, social and flirtatious atmosphere.
In the evening, anything can happen in the gay bars Silencio, Lou Lou and Popeyes.
For those who want a livelier experience, the night goes on at places like the Pink Flamingo nightclub (@pinkflamingorio), or Black Cat (@blackcatrio) which is very close to my house, about a 4-minute walk, or The Home (@thehomerio) with DJs and a full dance floor).
If it's your first time in Rio de Janeiro, consider staying at my place, as your tourist experience can be safer and more complete with my help.

Please do not smoke or use drugs inside the house. Use the garden as a smoking area. There are chairs outside the house on the sidewalk for you to relax and smoke. If it's raining you can smoke in the entrance hall. - It is not allowed to bring in strangers or visitors, except with the express permission of the host. - We do not allow events, parties or commercial filming without prior authorization from the host. Do not flush toilet paper down the toilet. No objects of any kind may be thrown into the toilet. We have a garbage can for that. This is how the Brazilian sewage system works. Have you been to the beach? Please use the water hose at the beginning of the street, near the village gate. Remove the excess sand before entering the house. Don't use the sofa and chairs if you have wet beach clothes on. For security reasons, guests need to show me a photo ID with their face. Just as you would if you were staying in a hotel. The air conditioning must be turned off every time you are going to be out of the room for an extended period. Ask your host for help if you have any doubts about using the kitchen equipment, the washing machine, etc. Washing machine: If you need to do a lot of laundry, you'll need to pay a small extra fee for using the equipment: 20 reais for each use. The washing machine is large and can hold 16 kilos of laundry. Separate your dirty clothes, pay the fee and I'll help you wash them. I don't have a dryer. The laundry dries on the clothes line. Accidents happen, so if your bed linen gets blood, make-up, sunscreen etc. on it, put it in the wash straight away so it's easier to remove the stain. Put it in the bucket with soap and water. We'll change the item no problem. My house is not a luxury hotel, so we don't change your bed linen every day, nor your towels. We usually change them once a week. If I need to change several items, bed linen and towels, I'll charge you for the extra service. You receive a basic kit with soap, toilet paper etc, and when your kit runs out, you need to go to the supermarket to buy more toiletries.
