For something more low-key, Bridge Bar is a lovely spot for cocktails and actual conversation. A little further out in Kennington, The Cock Tavern is well worth the trip too, with its own loyal following and great atmosphere. Beyond the bars, Clapham Common itself is a real hub of community life, especially in summer, and you’re also well placed for the wider South London scene — Vauxhall’s clubs and the Royal Vauxhall Tavern are just a short ride away.
