Welcome to my home in beautiful Daybreak, a walkable lakeside community in South Jordan just outside Salt Lake City. You’ll have a comfortable private bedroom with tv room attached in a newer home, along with access to a full bathroom and a spacious upstairs lounge with a large TV—a great place to relax after exploring Utah.

The neighborhood is one of my favorite parts of living here. We’re near Oquirrh Lake, with walking and biking trails, parks and beautiful mountain views nearby. There’s easy parking, and Daybreak has restaurants, coffee shops and other conveniences close to home.

This is also a great home base for experiencing both Salt Lake City and Utah’s mountains. Downtown Salt Lake City is roughly 25–30 minutes away, with the airport approximately 25–30 minutes away under normal conditions. The Cottonwood Canyon ski areas—including Snowbird, Alta Ski Area, Solitude Mountain Resort and Brighton Resort—are accessible for day trips, generally around 40–60 minutes depending on the resort, traffic and canyon conditions. For context, the four resorts are only about 29–33 miles from downtown Salt Lake.

Park City and Park City Mountain are also an easy mountain day trip; Park City itself is about 35 miles from Salt Lake City and typically around 40–45 minutes from the city in clear conditions. Sundance Mountain Resort is another beautiful option to the south, tucked beneath Mount Timpanogos and open year-round.

I’m a friendly, easygoing gay host and happy to help with recommendations for Salt Lake, the mountains, restaurants or the local LGBTQ+ scene. I’m social and enjoy meeting travelers, but I’m equally happy to give guests their own space and privacy.
