Come and enjoy our great city! Large sized master bedroom with separate entrance and private en suite bathroom featuring a convenient walk in shower and many amenities. Usually plenty of street parking. TV w/basic broadcast channels, coffee machine, coffee/waters/snacks, microwave, mini frig, high speed WiFi. You are a 10 minute walk from the restaurants, gay bars, Starbucks, and shopping of Hillcrest. House is in a quiet residential neighborhood; please, no drugs or drunkenness. Outside shared sitting area under a shaded canopy and sunny back yard for clothing optional sunbathing and relaxing. The backyard is shared with me, the owner, my partner Todd and our guests, and the tenant in the casita and their guests. No access to rest of inside of house. Your room shares a wall to kitchen and sounds transfer easily; we do our best to be quiet 11pm-6am.

I have lived in San Diego for over 20 years and am originally from Chicago. I've worked in finance, management and education, and currently I am a part-time handyman. I like to bike, hike, white water raft, snorkel, swim, cook, and work in the garden. My partner Todd and I love to travel, especially to places that are lush and tropical -- somewhat like our back yard. Hosting is a great way to meet new people, share our home, and help you have a good time in San Diego.

We live on site, so we appreciate guests who can honor quiet hours 11pm-6am. Your room is next to kitchen, so you may hear us talking and cooking, but we try hard to minimize noise during the quiet hours. No smoking inside/no pets. Pot ok/drugs not okay. There is a motion detector camera that monitors the driveway in the back.

Such a beautiful room and amazing hosts. The property has lushes gardens, tress, and sitting areas. It's like a mini-resort. Easy check-in with private entrance. I will definitely go back.

The place was very comfortable and clean with a very beautiful backyard. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and a close walk to restaurants and bars. Mike was friendly and helpful. I would stay again!

Michael and Todd are such terrific hosts. The property is beautiful and secluded should you want to go clothing optional. The property is also walking distance to the bars and a grocery store. This is our second time staying here and we highly recommend!

It's my second time staying at Michael's place. I had very nice sleep! The bed was so comfortable. Mike and Todd were very nice and cheerful people. I will definitely book Mike's place again when I visit San Diego again. 💯

This is the perfect place to stay in San Diego! It's located in a walkable location (or a quick Lyft ride) to much of what San Diego has to offer. The owners are nice guys and welcoming. The room is large, overlooks a beautiful yard/garden with a modern bathroom. I highly recommend this place and I will stay here next time I'm in town.

I had a wonderful stay at Michael's. He and his husband were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts—it was truly a pleasure getting to know them. The space had everything I needed to feel comfortable, and the location was perfect, just a short walk to Hillcrest. The backyard is absolutely gorgeous and made for an ideal spot to relax or get some work done. I'd happily stay again next time I'm in San Diego.

Michael is my go-to host anytime I'm in the area. He's so friendly, accommodating, and so hospitable and fun to get to know. Definitely recommend staying in this beautiful home!

Michael's place was a wonderful place to stay when visiting San Diego. I loved the location where bars and restaurants were only a 10 to 15 minute walk on peaceful residential streets and a "high in the trees" pedestrian bridge. The accommodations were so comfortable and the beautiful, lush gardens added to the experience as did the separate entrance allowing easy coming and going. Chatting with Michael in the mornings was interesting and he also has a wealth of information about the area. I was glad to meet and chat with Michael's partner Todd also. This is a terrific place to stay in San Diego!
