Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood atop a hill with great vistas from the bay to the ocean with little visual obstructions. Close to BART. LGBT friendly. The 3 things that guests love about our listing are: The vista, our new bed, and how beautiful our house is. The 2 things people don't like about our listing: They wish the shared room was a private apartment, and it was in downtown area. Note: 2nd bed is an aerobed that we can set up inside bedroom.

We are a gay couple living in a quiet neighborhood that’s close to mass transit or freeways so we can move about SF, and beyond. We love film and are movie pass holders and see 1 film per weekend (foreign, independent and some mainstream). We know a lot of San Francisco culinary scene. Bruce is a SFCityGuide giving the 1850s SF: Paris of the Pacific free walking tour one time per month.

We are located within a 10-15 minute walk to Glen Park BART. BART can get you to the mission in 5 minutes, to Union Square / Civic Center in 10 minutes or to the Ferry Building / Pier 39 area in 15 minutes. We also have a bus that runs past our home that takes guests into Golden Gate Park in about 15 minutes where De Young, Japanese Tea Gardens, CA Academy of Sciences and the SF Conservatory of Flowers is.

Host recommendations
Your Hosts live in within the residential unit. Both hosts and guests will be sharing the unit during the guests stay. 1. Check Out is before 11:00 Noon Check in is after 4:00 PM. If the guest has a late flight out or an early flight in arrangements must be made before hand. We are flexible but need adherence to the Check In and Check Out times in order to clean and prepare the property for the arriving guests. Also note that both of us work, so if you are checking in or out prior to 5 PM, we need to make arrangements to figure it out. 2. Smoking is NOT allowed in the house. 3. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. 4. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 5. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. 6. Pets are not permitted. We have a dog and just do not know what both of us would do if they did not get along well. Bert is super friendly and will be your best friend through out your stay. 7. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will ensure at the beginning the bed is clean and ready for anyone's arrival. We will have extra bed linens and towels for use should you need them. 8. Please leave the place as you found it. 9. Parking: Please be respectful of our neighbor's driveways and not block them. There is lots of parking 1/2 block away on Detroit Street. Guests can not park in front of our house as we garage our only car and need to get in and out of the driveway at all times of the day. 10. WiFi: Do not download or stream inappropriate material from our Wi-Fi. We get a notice from our carrier about the infringement fine which will be passed onto you. 11. If a guest(s) check out later than 10:30 AM, they will be assessed a $50 late fee for the late check out. This is in order for our cleaners to get in and clean our place in a timely manner for the next guest (s) who are about to check in. We are flexible in making arrangements should no one else be coming in or stowing your bags in our garage and you come back later to pick them when you go to the airport etc...

Bruce, Lawrence, and their dog Heddy were wonderful hosts. I definitely felt welcomed into their home. The bedroom was nicely done and the mattress was very comfortable. The location might be far from downtown but it is close to the Bart station. Plus you don't have the noise of a busier neighborhood.

Bruce and his partner are two charming gentlemen. Their kindness and willingness to answer all questions a baby-boom traveller may have match ideally the decor of the apartment with numerous touches of the 60s. A real visual treat! Not a speck of dust. And on top of everything, the accommodation goes along with a private bathroom with a skylight. Perfectly situated with a view and connected with all the Bay districts and the airport. Experience the de luxe version of San Francisco at Bruce's. Absolutely recommended!

I really enjoyed staying with Bruce. A lovely house, an incredible view, the balcony was perched over an amazing landscape, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The hosts were kind and easy to work with, and I would definitely stay there again!

Lovely place, Nice clean room, pleasant hosts, superb view from balcony & good safe neighbourhood.. The public transport (BART) is excellent and the nearest station (Glen Park) about a 10-minute walk away but you need to be fit as you have to walk up and down a couple of very steep - if short - hills. Would definitely stay there again.

A very quiet, comfortable room in a lovely little house with a FANTASTIC deck and view! The hosts were very helpful and easy to get along with. Great location (though the hill is steep!). It is not far from a BART station, which is super convenient for getting to and from the airport, going to the East Bay, etc. And it's short bus ride away from the Castro. Will definitely consider it again.

Bruce was an amazing host. We were welcomed with delicious, homemade cookies! He has a wealth of knowledge about the city & it's history. We felt completely at home. Bruce even took us on a trip around the city to see some of the places that we had missed (featuring the original cruffin 😍)

Bruce is a genuine host and tries everything to make you confortable and feel great ! He knows so many things about San Francisco and loves sharing with his guests ! The location is a bit aside from downtown but it helps you to rest quietly, the view is just amazing over the hills and the room with private bathroom are perfect for a stay feeling almost like home.

Everything ok. Perfect welcoming by Lawrence and stay. Well equipped house. Terrace. Living room. Not far from buses and BART.
