Peaceful farmhouse offering best of all possible worlds

Our farmhouse, built in 1900, is situated near the DC-weekend-getaway gay community of Lost River. The house is “rustic modern,” meaning that it retains much of its century-old character, but has been renovated into a loft with a two-story window looking out in the pasture, a barn, and the mountains beyond. The first floor has a dining and living area, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry area, and a bedroom. The dining area opens to a large deck that looks on to the mountains. There is a fire pit, charcoal grill, and loungers, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening while gazing at the amazing stars on any clear night. The kitchens opens to a screened-in porch with table and chairs. The second floor has a living area loft that overlooks the dining room and the two-story window and is furnished with sectional sofa and TV. There is also a second bedroom.
