Room M in a Villa with swimming pool full c

My first impression of the villa was that it was a little more scuffed than I expected from the photos. However, it was soon clear that there is much in the house which is original so you hardly expect it to be box fresh. The room was nice, comfortable bed and decent furniture for putting clothes. There was a microwave in the room, in addition to those in the large kitchen downstairs. There are actually two balconies, one you can put stuff out to dry on the airer provided. The kitchen was really great: each room has its own fridge and cupboard. There are two hobs, a microwave and quick-cook oven. The area is kept clean and is well stocked with plates/cups/glasses etc. It's all very stylish and thoughtfully designed, too, making best use of the shared space. Pool is fab, and we spent quite a bit of time on the terrace too, even into the evening. Patrick was easy to contact, and he or his partner were around for any questions. The other guests were also sociable. The one downside is that it is right next to a busy road and a tram line, so there is a fair bit of traffic noise right through the evening. However, the double glazing minimises this when sleeping. And heck, you're in the middle of a city, not by the beach!

A very pleasant stay in a fairly calm and welcoming atmosphere. Arrival and departure can be a bit complicated so it's better to have a mobile phone handy to be able to call the hosts (no doorbell on the entrance door of the property---but we don't all have the desire to own such a gadget anyway!). In general, very pleasant and the 'Independent Room M with terrace' is super comfortable---however without air conditioning but there is a good electric fan in the room to ensure sleep at night. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome from the hosts. Ideal location despite the noise in the surrounding area (close to the train station + traffic) it didn't spoil too much the outdoor spaces which are undoubtedly a great plus. The heated pool is really ideal in relation to the villa's location. Fridge available and supermarket 100m away. Thank you both and looking forward to coming back for another stay. 😊

Jean and Patrick were very welcoming. The little aperitifs by the poolside are very nice. The pool for relaxing is very original, as is the vegetation around it. The room, equipped with a small terrace, although in an old building, is very functional and well renovated. We are really just 5 minutes walk from Place de la Comédie and quite close to the beaches (20 min). In short, no unpleasant surprises, we really enjoyed this short stay in this villa and highly recommend it. Thanks again for your very warm welcome! Florian and Ahmed.

The villa is a magnificent place to stay in Montpellier: spacious bedroom and kitchen, ideal pool, very welcoming hosts, as well as the other residents. Plus there's parking space for a car, and you're just 5 mins walk from the city center! Highly recommended :-)

Jean and Patrick are super friendly and created a very relaxed atmosphere in the villa. The location is very convenient, because it's next to the supermarket, tram stop and city center. It could take a day to get used to the traffic sounds, but hey, do you want a central location or not? The pool is very nice and so is the garden.

We absolutely loved this too-short stay. Villa Catouna is a must-discover place when visiting Montpellier. Its location is perfect. A very comfortable home, with a superb pool in the heart of the city. But above all, a big thank you to Patrick and Jean, 2 charming and attentive guys with whom we enjoyed our aperitif conversations. A must-visit address to remember.
