I am a liberal-minded, highly educated man who enjoys the respectful company of others, learning from their perspectives, likes and preferences. I am fully at peace with myself and comfortable in my own skin. I strongly resist labels and all the expectations they create. I much prefer the excitement and adventure of coming to know someone for myself. I relish one on one conversations and can contribute on many subject areas, national, international, personal and profound. I especially enjoy the company of those who are genuinely open-minded and are open to questioning, without prejudice, the validity of life's varied pathways. At the same time, I am always up for vigorous and social activity. I enjoy my drinks but can't tolerate cigarette smoke or its smell so I cannot host tobacco smokers. Not even closet/outside smokers. I have a passion for food and am an accomplished cook who is fascinated by cultural food and its provenance. I enjoy a wide variety of music, have a longstanding interest in visual and performance arts, like to read and enjoy good movies although I am not a Netflix geek . I'm especially fond of sunny, hot weather, beaches, naturism and swimming as well as exploring nature and protecting it. Some may consider me a private person but how much I share of myself entirely depends on the depth of connection I have with those I am hosting so chatting with potential guests before they arrive is important to me.

Omahanui is located in the heart of Aotearoa's largest city. Yet it is only a 30 minute drive to a plethora of forest walks, wineries and amazing beaches. The heart of Auckland city opens up a vibrant, cosmopolitan mecca for those wanting the hustle and bustle of city life. Restaurants, bars and cafes abound and I know them very well. My home on the other hand offers a sanctuary, a peek into the life of real Kiwis - frills, warts and all. It's a place to engage and laugh, relax and chat, discuss local attitudes and history, food and wine, culture and the essence of what makes us tick. By the time you leave Omahanui you will feel you have seen the authentic New Zealand rather than just the sanitised, commercial, tourist version. And it's great fun. PS: There are plenty of excellent walking/running tracks close by for the energetic amongst us...

Amazing experience!! Kerry's place is super clean, perfectly furnished + comfortable bed. His place is right near Ponsonby Road which is a great neighborhood to eat, drink & shop. Kerry is just great, super nice, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about New Zealand and Auckland in particular, especially with regards to restaurants and city walks. Would definitely stay again when in Auckland.

We had an amazing time at Kerry's place, especially enjoying the freedom to be naked in such a relaxed and tasteful setting. The location strikes the perfect balance—peaceful but still close to everything. We felt truly spoiled. Highly recommend—fun, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. If we could give six stars we would!

Every expectation was met or exceeded. Kerry was very knowledgeable on many topics and add greatly to my first trip to New Zealand. The room was very comfortable. Location and access to public transportation was perfect for me.

An amazing stay. Kerry our host was a fantastic host. His knowledge of the restaurants, food is unbelievable. His recommendations were spot on. His attention to detail was superb to say the least. Kerry has a warm beautiful home and if feels so inviting you would want to to stay for so, so, much longer. Kerry is extremely accommodating with his time and goes way beyond, to make you welcome. Already want to plan a return visit. A gem in Ponsby, possibly all of New Zealand.

Kerry is an exceptionally nice guy, nothing is too much trouble. A very discerning host displaying a great taste in how he has decorated his lovely home. Excellent quality furnishings, bedding and bathroom toiletries. Perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Kerry is a wonderful host! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the local food scene and provided me with wonderful tips during my trip to New Zealand. The room is very comfortable. The location in Ponsonby is very central. Overall highly recommended. I would love to come back!
