Escape to the Skies: the view will amaze you!

What a delightful, gentle and genuine soul. Totally welcoming, making me feel instantly at home. It was great to chill & chat on a wide range of topics, especially travel in Asia.

The view is stunning it's true. Michael's place was the perfect place to relax for a weekend in Auckland. Great location, comfy bed. The smell of freshly baked bread when I arrived drove me wild! Only to be outdone by the banana bread Michael backed on Sunday. Charming, friendly and warm, would love to come back for another visit, and would highly recommend.

The place has a stunning view over the city. The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable and Michael was easy to get along with.

Michael was a lovely host. He was very attentive and his signature breakfast was the best. There are great views of Auckland both in the day and the lights at night. I highly recommend staying with Michael and would happily stay with him again if I am back in Auckland

Amazing stay. Michael was very welcoming and a great communicator. The place was exceptionally clean and easy to navigate. He was also very comfortable with Clothing Optional and made me feel very welcomed. He was courteous and quiet. He also happily shared his bake goods which was a lovely cake. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay in convenient part of Auckland

Michael's place was in a perfect location and I was able to travel on foot everywhere for food, drinks, and even meeting my tour shuttles downtown. The best thing about my stay was Michael himself. He is warm and welcoming, and made my first visit to New Zealand a great one. He even had his famous oats ready for me every morning, even though I was up very early. I highly recommend his place and will definitely stay there next time!

Michael's place is extremely well located, with a beautiful view and spotlessly clean. Michael is also a very warm and friendly host and I enjoyed getting to know him. He communicated clearly and was flexible with my check-in time.

Escape to the Skies is excellent and Michael is a wonderful host. The apartment and room are exactly as advertised, the location is very convenient and walkable to everything in the City. It is located just off of K-Road with it's classic gay vibe, and a good walk to the restaurants and shops on Ponsonby, and an easy downhill walk to the waterfront along Queen Street. Everything is downhill from Michael's, Auckland busses are easy to jump on and off if you don't feel like walking back up hill, and the drivers are helpful. The views are spectacular from his top floor suite, the bed is very comfortable, and Michael is attentive and helpful. Yes, opt in for the breakfast, you won't be disappointed.
