Breathtaking Pool Home and Backyard by Wilton Mnrs

We rescued this truly unique home from years of abandonment a few years ago. We brought it down to the studs and replaced all plumbing, electrical, removed the ceiling and installed all new drywall. The result was a completely new space, with cathedral ceilings, a gorgeous iron beam at the ridge, and an ultra wide window replacing the typical kitchen backsplash, which gives an unparalleled view to the stunning back yard. It's a contemporary space, with a large kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms. ***Beach cruisers available upon request*** And it has the most amazing back yard you'll see in most homes with heated salt water pool! The property also has an Apple TV with 50 channels. It has a fast WiFi, and a SONOS sound system and speakers throughout the house, and in the patio. The backyard is truly an amazing, private space for relaxing. There is a BBQ grill, a recently resurfaced heated, salt pool, and a water fountain in the covered patio area. All furnished with beautifully rustic pieces from Indonesia.

A typical day here may look like this: Wake up, brew a delicious cup of coffee and take in the lovely view of the expansive back yard from the kitchen. You can also visit one of the most quaint little breakfast spots in Fort Lauderdale called Egg & U Diner. It's owned by a British woman, who welcomes all Fort Lauderdale locals every morning with a warm smile, and where the servers are as lovely as they are irreverent. They've been there for 60+ years, and it's an institution.

Right in the same small shopping center, there's a consignment store called Decades. Here you can find the next treasured home decor item. They have anything from Restoration Hardware furniture all the way to a unique bauble discovered at a thrift store. All in great shape and ready to occupy that perfect spot in your home.

If some beach time is in order, you're very close to Fort Lauderdale Beach, which is between Oakland Park Blvd (Northern point), and Las Olas Blvd (Southern point). The closer to Oakland Park you get the quieter and more peaceful it is. If you want a little more activity, people and volleyball, head towards Las Olas! You're welcome to use the beach chairs and towels that are at the property.

All along A1A, the road bordering the beach, there's plenty of parking and many bars and restaurants for you to enjoy. After you've relaxed, you may want to head over to Wilton Manors, the super fun LGBTQ district in Fort Lauderdale. You can eat at Tulio's Tacos, (try the Smokey Pineapple Margarita, you'll thank me!), and any of their tacos are delicious. Here you'll see locals and tourists mingle as they walk from gastropub to gastropub all along the Wilton Drive strip.

There's plenty of places to enjoy a great dinner such as Union Kitchen and Bar (also in Wilton Manors), try their Japanese Old Fashion, it'll change your life. Also, if you like pasta, mushrooms and you love truffle, try their Porcini Campanelle, heaven on a plate!

When you're ready to turn it, enjoy the large rain shower head, and amazing water pressure of our shower. The beds are meant to provide restorative sleep. The sheets are brand-new Le Chateau Soft Cloud Percale luxury linen for a heavenly sleep experience every time.

We can't wait to host you! The home is completely private, so guests have access to all of the home and its amenities. South Middle River, which is the neighborhood where the house is located, is an area my partner and I have been working on for the last 8 years. We’ve renovated 10 homes or so during that time (including the one you’re renting), and we’ve seen the area come through its transitional phase beautifully. In fact, we’ll build two brand-new homes in the area this coming year.

Today, it’s a thriving neighborhood with many young couples and single professionals moving in. It’s incredibly close to all the great things Fort Lauderdale has to offer. You’ll also see people walking their dogs at all hours in the day.

When you arrive, you will see some homes which haven’t been renovated yet, and some that are in the process. The neighbors are friendly, and it’s a safe place. We’ve had many many single people, couples with and without children stay at the house, and have a wonderful time. We’ve even had weddings in the back yard :-). Also, my partner and I live about 5 minutes away, so we’ll be close by if you need anything. While Fort Lauderdale's transportation system is maturing, it's still not a walkable city. You should rent a car, or use Uber to get around. Parties are not allowed. No reservations from local guests allowed. Pack n Play and high chair are available upon request Some pets allowed - There is a $250 pet fee if you travel with one pet, and $350 for two or more pets. TVs in this property are smart so you'll be able to log into your favorite streaming apps including those for broadcast TV. There is no cable TV. You have the option to log into any streaming app for which you have an account. We do not provide streaming app accounts. DO NOT THROW WIPES DOWN THE TOILET. If you use wipes, you'll be fined $1500 for any plumbing repairs. No parties or gatherings greater than 15 people. Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the property, including vaping or medicinal marihuana. If we smell smoke you will be fined $500. You're welcome to smoke outside. No loud music after 9PM. There's a security camera in the back of the property for security purposes only.
