Mario and I (Italian and Swiss) tried to combine EU/US standards with local and imported design, for a world-class comfort in a real Carioca experience. This space was not conceived to be a short term rental unit, but I highly selected international-standards apartment where we want to feel home and our guests too.

Bright and ventilated on the last floor, with views of the roofs of Ipanema and part of the stone behind the building covered in lush tropical forest. Totally mould-free.

The apartment is well planned with bedroom with queen bed (highly comfortable foam mattress) blackout curtains, split air conditioning (very quiet) closet with clothing rail for you to unpack your luggages. Spacious and elegant, with fancy retro and vintage furnitures. Full dark environment and free-from-noise.

In the living room you will find the brand new, fully stocked kitchen complete with induction stoves (there is a complete set of induction pans), microwave oven, kettle, fridge with freeze and water filter (yes, you can drink filtered water, it's totally safe and you will be helping reduce the use of plastic bottles). Complete of all kitchen tools as well as cutlery, dining set and glasses. As well as Salt, Olive Oil and other basics.

In the living-room, the sofa-bed turns into a double bed (D33 foam mattress - rather hard). Blackout curtains and air conditioning. Smart TV 50" HD with Netflix, Prime and Globoplay. Ideal for a third guest. Make sure you enter the right amount of guests when completing the booking: just let me know if you wish to have the sofa-bed open and set up.

EU/US standard bathroom with hot water for steamy showers (note: This is a treat, Rio). Hygienic shower is available as well. Large shower with high pressure water.

Washing machine (with adjustable temperature, like EU/US machines, again, not common in Brazil) and tumble dryer.

Iconic and architecturally notable building, the first example of Brazilian Modernism. The facade and atrium are protected by the Brazilian Ministry for Culture as they were designed by architect Sergio Bernardes, together with Oscar Niemeyer (the guy who fully designed Brasilia from scratches in the 1950s). The blooming tropical gardens at the entrance are a sketch of the worldwide renown Roberto Burle Marx.
