Welcome to our Mid-Century Modern Gem in Ipanema, where timeless Brazilian Mid-Century Design meets international comfort and Swiss/Italian hospitality. Just refurbished (June '25).

Next to Gay venue in Ipanema, such as Silencio Bar and the most famous gay beach in the world (Posto 9, Ipanema).

You'll be renting a private en-suite bedroom with your own bathroom, inside our home. We (an Italian/Swiss couple) live in the apartment too, in one of the other bedrooms, this is a shared home, not an empty rental.

We work remotely and have lived in Rio for years, so beyond the room, you get two locals who happen to be foreigners: honest tips on the best spots, how to get around safely, local food, and the everyday things that make settling into the city easier.

Unbeatable. Literally on the beach block. Just 2 minutes' walk to Ipanema Beach, and a short 5–6 minute stroll to Copacabana Beach.

The Space

A 2000 ft2 (200 m2) top-floor apartment with panoramic views of Ipanema Beach, the ocean, the islands, and Christ the Redeemer. You'll have full access to the shared living areas, and your own private room and bathroom.

Living Room: Absolutely enormous. Mid-Century Modern Brazilian elegance with refined 1950s carefully restored furniture, comfortable sofas, armchairs, a dining table for 10, and lush tropical plants. Opens onto a balcony with outdoor seating and a mini tropical garden, facing the beach, ocean and mountains. 85" Smart TV.

• We're an Italian/Swiss couple living in the third bedroom of the apartment (one medical doctor and one entrepreneur) • Long-term Rio residents, fully integrated but still foreigners ourselves: we know exactly ******** useful to know when you're new here • Happy to share local tips: neighborhoods, food, safety, health/insurance basics, and how to get the most out of Ipanema and Rio as an outsider • Respectful shared living: your room and bathroom are fully private, common areas are shared
