Bright room in Ipanema, a few steps from the beach

I had a fantastic stay at Julio's place in Ipanema. Communication was always easy and straightforward, and all the information I needed was provided — including recommendations for the gay scene. 😊 I felt comfortable and at home from the moment I arrived. Julio also has a lovely dog who gave me plenty of affection during my stay! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the apartment: very clean, welcoming, full of plants, and with a great vibe. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Rio. Julio, thank you for having me! You're always welcome in Chile or Switzerland. 🇧🇷🇨🇱🇨🇭

Júlio's apartment is delightful, as a host he is exquisitely tasteful, tidy and courteous. I slept well and enjoyed the proximity to the beach, of course, but I especially enjoyed how this delightful flat made me want to go grocery shopping and cook healthy meals while I was recovering from an 8-day work week beforehand elsewhere in Rio. He had a handful of daily recomms, including the much-appreciated vouching for Barraca Denise (63) and Tuesday market in Praça Osorio.

Well, I came back to Júlio's home after few days away. lol, my action speaks for itself 😉

It was delightful experience for staying at Júlio's home. Júlio is friendly and communicative. He made me feel like home, and his dog, James is a friendly and playful. Thank you so much for his hospitality. I booked another stay for few days later.

Julio is the perfect host. I really love my stay at his apartment. He is a very easy going person and very helpful with everything. The room / apartment is very nice, perfect located to everything and quiet too. My absolute favorite stay in Ipanema. I definitely will come back. The communication/ organization was also very good. As previous reviews say, Júlio is a great host – friendly, helpful, calm and welcoming. He had great suggestions and included me in activities with his friends during my stay which was much appreciated. The location of the flat is perfect, the room is spacious and comfortable, and there's good WiFi for working if you need to (I sadly did!). James is also an added bonus if you're a dog fan – he's very sweet and fun to be around! When (not if) I'm back in Rio, I hope to stay again.

Wonderful stay with Julio. Only compliments to give and share! The location is perfect, just a stone's throw from Ipanema beach. It's ideal for going there empty-handed and returning without any hassle. Julio is very thoughtful and always available to give excellent advice; he made my stay so much more authentic and interesting than a hotel. It's like staying with a friend. He was even kind enough to let me stay until the evening of my departure, my flight taking off very late. Access to the apartment is by code, which is very convenient since you don't have to carry keys around. James, his dog, is adorable and very calm; he has his own space. As for comfort, the room has a very large wardrobe and the bed is excellent. The neighborhood is full of good restaurants, bars and cafés. It's the ideal place to discover Rio. In short, I have only praise. Definitely book without hesitation!

Julio was an absolutely fantastic host! Without him, I would not have had the amazing experience I had in Rio. His communication, hospitality, and willingness to help guide my trip were top notch. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I had the most wonderful stay with Júlio, he is a lovely host, willing to share advice and connect. Júlio greeted me upon arrival and had everything set with his doorman for my arrival. His puppy James is just the sweetest! Great location, close to many great restaurants, supermarkets, the metro, but most of all - the beach. Júlio thank you for making my stay memorable!
