Our neighborhood is ideally located, just a stone's throw from the Matabiau train station, about a 15-minute walk from downtown and the lively Saint-Aubin district - perfect for discovering the soul of Toulouse. It's an excellent starting point for exploring Toulouse on foot or by public transport (Bus 23 at the foot of the building).
🎨 A must-see in the area:
The banks of the Canal du Midi for a peaceful stroll.
The Colonne district (on the Marengo side), with beautiful street art frescoes.
The Saint-Aubin district, bustling on Sunday mornings with its local market featuring producers, craftspeople, street food and brass bands... a true immersion in Toulouse.
The Victor Hugo market, covered and gastronomic, ideal for a cassoulet or a good cheese.
The Musée des Abattoirs, for lovers of contemporary art.
🍽 DE bonnes adresses :
La Lune Bleue: a queer and cultural café, often enlivened by exhibitions or intimate concerts.
Le Barallel: excellent coffee shop with brunch.
Café Cerise, facing the Garonne, perfect for a relaxing break.
La Tantina de Burgos: a real institution for a taste of the Southwest.
Le Petit London: a convivial bar with terrace and live music.
🌈 Local LGBTQ+ scene:
Toulouse is very LGBTQ+ friendly, dynamic and open. Among our favorite venues:
Le Quatrième Mur: a committed and creative queer bar-theater.
Le Bear's: Gay bar with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, open to all.
Le Red, Le Destiny and Le Kalinka: must-visit clubs for dancing the night away, each with its own festive and inclusive atmosphere. Le Red (formerly G-boy), in particular, is very popular with Toulouse's LGBTQ+ community.
🛍 Shopping & good finds :
L'Encantada: queer-friendly thrift shop full of nuggets.
O'CD for rare vinyls and CDs.
On weekends, you can browse the bookshops along the waterfront.
