Berlin launches Pink Pillow, its gay-friendly hotel label

Berlin is one of the gayest destinations in Europe, this is not new. What is, however, is the new network of hotels labeled "Pink Pillow" launched in early March by visitBerlin, the Berlin tourist office, and which testifies to the open-mindedness of the German capital.

"Pink Pillow Berlin Collection " is the hotel version of the famous "Come as you are".it's a guarantee that you'll stay in a gay-friendly environment, for greater safety, and without judgment.

The hotels in this network have signed a charter in which they commit to treating LGBT travelers with courtesy, respect and dignity, to creating a respectful and tolerant work environment for LGBT staff, and to informing the clientele concerned about the local LGBT scene.

The label already has 27 signatories in all possible categories, including the Radisson Blu, the Novotel Tiergarten, the nhow Berlin or the Westin Grand but also a gay hotel like Tom's Hotel. TheAxel Hotel in Berlin, Berlin's leading gay hotel, is not among the first signatories of the Pink Pillow label.
