New York : Fashion capital of the world

Every neighborhood in New York City has its own unique take on fashion. Stroll the streets of the Upper East Side and you'll find the greatest designers Manhattan has to offer. A little further down Harlem, most of the boutiques suggest a more urban and chic fashion. No matter where you are in New York, the limit may be your wallet. New York hosted the world's first organized fashion week in 1943. This is one of the reasons why the Big Apple has become a hub for fashion.
