New York : Fashion capital of the world
New York, capital of fashion

Every neighborhood in New York City has its own unique take on fashion. Stroll the streets of the Upper East Side and you'll find the greatest designers Manhattan has to offer. A little further down Harlem, most of the boutiques suggest a more urban and chic fashion. No matter where you are in New York, the limit may be your wallet. Mixing styles with a passion for fashion is a constant evolution and New York knows it!

Fashion Show in New York
New York hosted the world's first organized fashion week in 1943. This is one of the reasons why the Big Apple has become a hub for fashion. Buyers, models, designers and artists of all kinds have all set up shop at one time or another. Throughout the year, New York offers various fashion shows, including the famous Mercedes-Benz Fasion Weeks held in the fall. The fashion shows not only showcase the latest New York trends, but also set the standard for how retail products are sold worldwide.

A New York of luxury
Although the fashion shows usually last only a few days, exploring New York City with the eyes of a "fashon victim" is no easy feat! A taste of luxury is almost a normal part of a trip to New York City, with its overpriced, yet glitzy hotels and restaurants attracting the world's biggest stars.

Your hotel next to the stores
For those who go to New York for an intensive shopping session, it is important to centralize your hotel according to the shopping to be done. One good suggestion is the Andaz 5th Avenue Hotel. Fashion history is literally rooted in the hotel's 136 rooms and 16 suites. Once located in the famous Rogers Peet & Co, this store once set the standard for men's shirts and pants. Tommy Hilfiger was also headquartered in this building, now transformed into a magnificent hotel. After a day of shopping on the famous 5th Avenue, you'll be happy to know that your hotel is just a few steps away from where you are!

The Empire Hotel is located within walking distance of the New York Fashion Week complex. The hotel was recently renovated to make it more designer than ever. New York style is very well represented in this hotel.

Tourist attractions for fashion lovers
New York is truly a fashion city. The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers its visitors over two million pieces, many of which are dedicated exclusively to fashion. More than 35,000 pieces of clothing and accessories from five continents are on display.

The Costume Institute of New York is a great place for fashion lovers. It offers great fashion nights and a gala fundraiser. It's a great way to make yourself known in this sometimes difficult to access environment.

So, more reasons to go to New York to shop and keep up with the latest trends. No matter the season, New York has events to match. All you have to do is make your place and discover.
