Gay clubs and gay bars in Amsterdam are legendary. The weekends rock hard with busy dance and cruise bars. If you're into a more crowded dance floor, Amsterdam caters to fetishes, dancing and shows with very popular gay parties such as the world famous Rapido at Paradiso, a former church and Bear Necessity.

Some of the gay bars in Amsterdam are to be found on the Reguliersdwarsstraat, a street where gay places follow one another. Soho is a British-style bar with a vintage feel and D.J.’s spinning it hard on the weekends.

One of the busy gay bars in Amsterdam is Taboo with two floors, large screens that play video clips, and a smoking lounge. Ludwig is a large gay bar, doubling as a coffee hangout with terrace in the afternoon, and fancy French nightclub into the deep night.

 

Amstel is a must-visit

Amstel is another gay bar area near Rembrandt Square, by the river. Amstel 54 is a club that features drag, stage shows, DJs, happy hours and a nice terrace. Café Montmartre is a small, crowded and fun bar with all sorts of music and clientele.

Prik is a popular gay bar in Amsterdam with snacks, drinks and a terrace in the summer. Café Mandje is one of the world’s oldest gay bars, with a lot of history. Hot Spot Café brings in a younger crowd with disco music, some shows, and the occasional party night.

Club NYX is a popular disco over three floors. The first floor is a big dance floor and bar, the second is a dance floor, bar, and balcony, and the third holds the toilets. Another popular gay club is Club Church, with runs different themed nights. Another famous gay club Amsterdam has to offer is The Warehouse, run by the Rapido party people.
