How gay-friendly is your city? What’s gay life like there?

Puerto Vallarta is super gay friendly! Some say it’s the Gay Capital of Mexico, for its numerous gay beaches, its gay lifestyle and of course its gay guys! Everyday life here is amazing! Even as a visitor you feel immediately welcome, you can really experience a sense of community. And as a resident, I don’t feel this anywhere else. We have gay beaches and clubs, a fabulous 3-floor sauna and plenty of gay-owned and operated businesses!

What are the best gay events that take place in your city each year?

We have the pleasure and honour of hosting the famous White Party, which is so popular it’s held at least 3 to 5 times a year. Also, every weekend the beach club Mantamar always has something fun going on. And then there’s Beef Dip in February for our Bear community.

We only have 48 hours in your city. What can’t we miss?

Witnessing a sunset in Puerto Vallarta is a must: go to the Blue Chairs or Pinnacle Rooftop, get yourself a cocktail or two and watch the sun dip into the ocean. Every evening we have firework shows at 9:40pm from the pirate ship in the Bahia. And treat yourself to a massage of course! Vallarta has its very own Cuddling Service!

What’s your favorite gay place to grab a bite for lunch? A nice dinner?

Fusion Diablos Bar for dinner is a must! I highly recommend going there, on Wednesdays they have 50% off entrées, and their margaritas are killer! For lunch, go to to El Barracuda at Mangos Beach.

A gay place for brunch on weekends?

Cocos Kitchen for sure! Ask for the double mimosas … they’re crazy good, so might as well!

Best gay place and day for a cheap beer or happy hour?

Blondies is a cool spot on the corner, they offer slushies with booze, great for an express stop or to lounge upstairs for an hour or so. Enjoy hand-crafted beer at Los Muertos Brewing Company. Or try Hotel Mercurio, they have a pool bar with cheap drinks and a fun atmosphere.

We’re ready to party! What are the best gay clubs?

You should definitely start at Mr. Flamingos for a pre-party cocktail, then you only have to choose from: CC Slaughters Factory, for a Circuit-esque kind of party; Spartacus, a gay sauna with a rooftop pool and bar; Wet Dream, with pole dancers all over the place and really strong drinks for obvious reasons; La Noche, a nice 2-floor lounge bar.

Any beaches, parks or best other places to chill-out?

Check out Casitia Maraikas, take the uber or bus to Boca de Tomatlan and then hop on a small boat to the Beach Club. The trip on the boat is 140 pesos round-trip and it’s definitely worth the experience!

Where can we get the best view of Puerto Vallarta?

There are a few spots actually: the rooftop of my building being one ;) The view from Casa Kimberly (Elizabeth Taylor’s home) is breathtaking! The view from the Blue Chairs resort definitely is the best for sunsets. ●
