Its spacious and shiny structure, however, does not make him miss the idea of living in a retreat surrounded by nature where nothing can harm you... it is the same nature that takes care of the guest with its lush greenery, and the cool relaxation of the open-air whirlpool and chromotherapy pool and the emotional shower under a cannizzo. Passing through the interiors, one observes the care and simplicity in the preservation of the working objects of the countryside and the rituals of vacationing that bring thoughts back to the sound of ancient voices, dialects and superstitions of the past. All this was the result of a selection of skilled Salento artisans, who forged iron, carved stone and wood using ancient materials and techniques to recover and give new life to Casina Gidò. A stylistic, textural and chromatic continuity of the exteriors is found with the interiors, where the immense fireplace dominates in the central solon and communicates with the typical Salento masonry kitchen where a pilozza carved out of a block of Lecce stone is perfectly integrated. Adjacent are two cozy double bedrooms made with natural materials such as oak wood of the load-bearing beam supported by elegant stone barbacans, and elegant draperies of natural fiber let in the light that filters through the windows. The presence of a spacious bathroom makes for unforgettable moments of relaxation and harmony, thanks to an enveloping waterfall immersed in a tub made of Trani stone. The warm color contrasts of cement tiles decorate the white lime interiors. The careful attention to detail that has distinguished the ecclectic owner of the structure, in order to make the guests totally relive the everyday life of the peasant life, he strongly wanted the construction of a large wood-burning oven to let guests savor the ancient tradition of sharing bread and the products of the typical gastronomy of the area using the raw materials harvested directly in the garden present in the structure.
