The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneCozyInsta-WorthyRelaxing

This is a shared space with my partner and I. We also have a dog, so you must be dog-friendly!

We are located in Shirley, Long Island. Beautiful, oceanfront Smith Point Beach and campground is a 5 minute drive (2 mile walk) from our house! There’s also Shirley Beach that’s a short one mile walk away, which is on a bay and has beautiful sunset views.

We are looking to host fellow gays looking for a private place while visiting the East End. Perfect for a weekend or mini getaway. If you like a clothing optional space, we are open to nudity too :)

The guest room is on the main level of our home, with a bathroom adjacent to the room. This bathroom is not shared by us during your stay.

The guest room is equipped with a comfortable double/full-size bed, table with two chairs, closet, two nightstands, an armchair, and Apple TV with various streaming apps to use!

In the bathroom, feel free to help yourself to the provided toiletries. We provide towels, soaps, and other bathroom essentials in case you forget anything!

Again, we have a dog. She is a sweetheart, but she can be very energetic and friendly upon arrival. We will keep her out of your space, but you must be completely comfortable with dogs for when you need to move through the common areas.

We have a coffee and tea maker that you are welcome to enjoy during your stay. You can also keep items in our fridge and use the microwave or toaster, but otherwise please no cooking.

We also have a hot tub that is open in Spring, Summer and Fall. We close it during the colder months (November-April) If you think you’d like to use it, please let us know when booking. We also have outdoor seating and a fire pit that you’re welcome to use during the warmer months!

Most previous reviews you see are from when we hosted at our apartment in Queens, NYC. Any cancellations are due to having to move apartments unexpectedly.

Hi everyone, whether you're the host and I'm the guest or the other way around, I look forward to meeting you! I love traveling, and I love meeting new people! :) I am a teacher in New York City, and so whenever we get a break for the holidays I am always trying to travel to a new place. Traveling related things aside, I love music, writing, and technology.

Nearby Attractions

We are two miles away from Smith Point beach which is part of Fire island national seashore. It has a park, beach and campground. This ocean front beach is perfect for a Long Island beach day!

We are also only 30 minutes away from the Sayville Ferry that goes to Long Island’s famed Fire Island gay beaches, Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines.

Wanna shop? Tanger Outlets in Riverhead is just 25 minutes away.

Splish Splash Waterpark is also 25 minutes away. It’s one of the area’s most popular water parks.

If you’re interested in a Hamptons adventure, we are just 40 minutes from Southampton and 90 minutes from Montauk (the end). You can also take the train from Mastic-Shirley to the east end if you’d prefer not to drive. On your way, we’d recommend stopping at Wolffer Estate Vineyard (50 min away), our favorite winery to visit.

If you’re into wineries, you can also go to the North Fork, where there are many vineyards and farm stands on the way from Riverhead to Green Port/Orient Point.

There also many parks in our area, such as Southaven County Park, Wertheim Wildlife Refuge, Osprey Park, and the William Floyd Estate, all of which are about 10 minutes or less from our house. Terrell County Nature Preserve is another nice park, about 20 minutes away.

Brookhaven National Laboratory is also nearby if you’re interested in science!

Vincent and Jose were great hosts! They also had a very sweet canine ambassador representing the house. The space was perfect: nice size room, updated private bathroom, great back yard with a hot tub and a small above-ground pool, bed was comfy, and I was very well taken care of during my stay. I would definitely stay again and encourage others do the same.

Vincent's house is extremely neat, clean, and beautifully organized and appointed. I appreciate his thorough communication in making arrangements for the visit and assisting us once we arrived. He and Jose are personable making us feel welcome. The visit here made our stay on Long Island a great time.

Vincent and Jose have a fantastic place in a nice residential neighbourhood. Drive, Uber it, or take the bus. The 66 bus runs every 30 minutes from the Mastic Shirley train station from 6am to 6pm, and every hour till 10pm. The bus stop is a 20 minute stop to their home. At the bus stop, there is a nice wine shop, and a nice sized deli / mini supermarket which also has a great pizzeria as part of the business. I walked to the beach to get my exercise — 40 minutes each way. Fantastic!!

Enjoyed my stay with the very happy Ms. Bones and her two human companions (Vincent and Jose) in their comfortable home on Long Island's eastern south shore. Lots of advance communication made me feel welcome before I even stepped foot in their house. Each morning they made sure I had coffee ready early to get me going for the day. I especially enjoyed all the local suggestions they provided of activities and local food and drink establishments. The guy's house is a short ways from the beautiful white sand Fire Island Natl. seashore beach (Smith bay Park)--5 minute drive from the house. If you want a nice getaway consider a stay with Vincent and Jose.
