Fantastic ocean viewa in a country setting

Michael and Tim were fabulous hosts. The house was cozy and peaceful, with a spectacular view whether it's a clear day or a cloudy. The included breakfast was generous and delicious, and beautifully presented each morning.

The accommodation and hospitality offered by Michael and Tim is top-notch. The room is spacious, the bed comfortable and the bath and toilet spotless. Outside one can enjoy a tropical feel in the back garden replete with a private spa. A view of the ocean over the hills and good star watching are to be had from the front deck. Nearby, accessible easily by car, are shops, forest walks, waterfalls and numerous small communities with galleries, cafes and eateries. As hosts, the two made sure I was looked after and were great conversationalists. I would easily recommend this accommodation and the hosts and hope that I have the opportunity in the future to visit and stay again.

Nature decided to blow a gale the day I arrived, however Michael and Tim’s place was an oasis of calm! A welcoming cuppa set the tone of the stay, enjoyed with spectacular views from the front verandah across the Sunshine Coast hinterland to Mt Coolum on the coast. The guest room was clean and the queen-bed very comfortable. Bedside storage and power access perfect for keeping devices handy and charged. There was a large guest bathroom and separate toilet. In the private back garden were several seating spaces and a hot-tub. The latter proved to be a daily draw card. A continental breakfast was included with the accommodation and offered a great variety of choices. There was a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, muffins or crumpets, and boiled eggs, with tea, coffee and fruit juices. Nearby Mapleton has a number of dining options and the service, standards and fare at the local pub were superb. Shared a pleasant barbecue meal the second evening. Michael and Tim’s place is perfectly located as a base from which to enjoy the numerous hinterland towns and communities, with some spectacular walks and waterfalls to visit and enjoy as well. Great hospitality by our hosts and the location close to all amenities

The hosts Michael and Tim could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Thank you Michael and Tim for the bottomless cup of tea, as well as the naturist atmosphere! The house is very spacious and offers great views of the surrounding verdant country from multiple vantage points. My bedroom is spacious, well-ventilated and very comfortable. Likewise the queen bed. I had exclusive use of a large bath-shower room and a separate toilet, and free access to the kitchen as well as the back garden, which hosts a great hot-tub as well as a pair of adorable kittens and a mellow dog. My only caution about this property is that someone unaccustomed to driving on the "un-American" side of the road (especially a winding, going up-and-down one) might want to enquire about being picked up by the hosts from a train station or airport, and be prepared to dine-in on fairly delicious prepared food that are available from the in-town supermarket.
