The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneRelaxingCentral location

Pleasant room with great views in Central Brighton. The Gay Village and beach are at your feet: the pier, Pavilion and city centre, just 5 minutes walk. My flat is a pleasant, warm, ex-government flat in a grim-looking but functional block and very central especially where Gay Scene is concerned. Your bed is comfortable, your room is clean (I clean the bathrooms every day before you get up unless you are a very early riser) and the shower is hot and plentiful. The sitting room is as you find it though because I work there. The use of kitchen too is as you find. I use it myself all through the day. I don't mind you using it so long as you're happy take as you find. It is not dedicated to your exclusive use.

71 year-old Gay male and retired English teacher. I've lived abroad in several countries. Saudi Arabia, Oman, Italy, Sri Lanka and Thailand are those countries and I enjoyed them all. I have a pet Cocker Spaniel. He's friendly to all but not allowed in the guest room I read, keep up with geopolitics, hike, watch movies and head for one of the local nudist beaches when the sun shines. Favourite writers: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Robert Frost, TS Eliot, Muriel Spark. Favourite movies: Bagdad Cafe. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I like to travel, especially in the Winter when I go to Asia, though also in the Spring and Autumn here in Europe. Eastern Europe and Spain are my current interests. Berlin is my favourite city. The Big Push and the Gulls are my two favourite bands I really enjoy hosting, hearing about your lives, where you've come from, where you're headed. It's a privilege for which I am very grateful. As there's no accounting for taste, I don't seek intimacy, your stay is about your comfort and well being.

We had a lovely stay at Michael's place. The location was great—an easy walk to the beach and the bustling town centre. We enjoyed swimming in the sea, even taking the little train to the nudist beach on our first day before walking back along the seafront the next day. It was such a refreshing break. Michael kindly accommodated our early check-in, which we really appreciated, and provided towels. Overall, a comfortable base for a weekend in Brighton.

Michael was a wonderful host. He accommodated me earlier than expected even though he had an important appointment to keep. I felt relaxed in his company in no time. His apartment is situated in a very convenient & central location in Kemptown village. It's spacious, the room was very comfortable with loads of loads of light & an amazing sea view to the right. Once I had the keys he made it clear that I was free to come & go as I wished & he even cooked me breakfast one morning & shared a bottle of wine & a fascinating chat on my first evening. His dog is adorable & I loved sharing his company ....as well as Michael's throughout my stay. Highly recommended & I'll look forward to returning for my next break, thank you 😃🐻🐾

Michael could not have been any more welcoming or hospitable, it was like home from home. Clean comfortable and in an amazing location for our trip to Brighton Pride. Michael is a really interesting bloke, great local knowledge, helpful and friendly, we couldn't fault the stay at all, would definitely recommend it and Darlowe the dog rounded everything off perfectly!
