My cosy 1910 Edwardian period home is conveniently located on a tram line making it easily accessible to nearby hip and trendy inner Northern suburbs of Collingwood, Fitzroy and Northcote.
A complimentary light breakfast will help you kick start your day.
The Inner North (Darebin) is very well known for having the biggest number of musicians, artists and all round creative types of all Melbourne.
Suburbs like : Preston, Northcote, Fitzroy, Brunswick, Collingwood and Carlton are home to some of Melbourne's best Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, Live Music venues, Galleries, Boutique and Vintage shops. There is no shortage of things to see or do.
My house is situated on the no. 11 tram line making it very convenient to get to your desired destination. The tram stop is virtually at your door step.
A bus line connecting to nearby main roads such as Lygon street and Sydney road is only 50m from the house.

I'm a Melbourne Photographer / Musician who has recently returned to Australia after living in Sth East Asia.
I'm a friendly easy going guy who is very involved in the music scene both as a musician and also as a photographer which keeps me quite busy. Traveling is also my other passion.

Mauro is an excellent host and friendly helpful guy. His house is in north Melbourne, about 35min on the tram which stops outside his place. The house is very nice, comfortable and homely. Mauro has some great photos he's taken on display in his home...a very talented photographer. Overall this was an excellent stay and would have no hesitation in returning.

I was 4 nights at Mauro's home, very easy to go there with the Tram 11, just stopped in front of his home ! I arrived in the morning, we had a chat to know each other, and in the afternoon I went to explore the city. I immediately felt like home. Very beautiful and big house. Thanks a lot, Keep in touch !

I had a great time at Windahra. Mauro was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. My room was spacious and cosy. It had a huge desk, a comfortable bed, extra blankets, perfect blockout roller blinds to close the morning sunlight. Wifi connection was great. I had a nice continental breakfast that was available in the spotless kitchen. The tram 11 is perfect to travel back and forth to the city. Thank you Mauro!

Mauro is a great host. He is friendly and easy to get along with. He is an excellent communicator. The room and amenities are comfortable and clean. The location is excellent with Tram No. 11 stopping right outside the gate. It's close to Preston Market too. I'd definitely stay again. Kia ora from NZ!

Mauro is a great host. Everything was well organised, efficient communication too. The room is large, comfy, nicely set up. Everything in the house is set up to make you feel welcomed. The tram stop to the city is right outside the house and Mauro even lends you a tram card you can recharge. There is also a train station not too far away. If you have a rental car, it is no issue to park. I will stay again at Mauro's place should I have to stay in a convenient north Melbourne ********.

Mauro's place is literally in front of the tram stop which takes you all the way to the CBD and through one of the best areas of Melbourne with great cafes bars and restaurants. The place is so clean, cozy and feel like home. Mauro is so dedicated and makes sure you have a good time whilst at his place. Totally recommend staying in Preston.
