Welcome to my home in Marseille ☀ I offer you a private room with private bathroom, located in a charming art deco house on two levels, in a closed, quiet and secure housing estate.

The house offers a peaceful setting with a lovely lush Mediterranean garden, perfect for relaxation. It has an almost "end-of-the-world" feel, yet is still in the city, ideal for recharging your batteries after a day's sightseeing.

📍 Location Located in Marseille's 9th arrondissement (Marseille Sud), a pleasant and sought-after neighborhood that's residential, green and very well served, the house enjoys an ideal location between peaceful ambience and quick access to the city center and the Calanques.

All of Marseille's main tourist attractions are within easy reach of the house by streetcar, metro or bus:

* Old Port and maritime shuttles to Château d'If and the Frioul Islands: approx. 20 minutes * La Canebière: approx. 15-20 minutes * Cours Julien and its bars and restaurants: approx. 15 minutes * Gare Saint-Charles: approx. 20-25 minutes * Notre-Dame de la Garde: approx. 25 to 30 minutes * Mucem and Major Cathedral: approx. 30 minutes * Stade Vélodrome: 15 minutes on foot * Calanque de Sugiton and Pierres Tombées naturist beach are easily accessible by direct bus no. 24 to Luminy (approx. 18 minutes).

Public transport nearby: * T3 tramway (Aubert Ganay stop) * Metro line 2, 10-minute walk (Sainte-Marguerite Dromel station) * Sainte-Marguerite Vauthier bus stop nearby

It's an ideal starting point for discovering Marseille, its beaches, its emblematic neighborhoods and the Parc national des Calanques, as well as Cassis (20 min by car).

🛏 The room Spacious, comfortable and well-equipped:

* Comfortable bed * Private bathroom (shower, washbasin) * Separate private toilet * Storage space

The shared living room has a TV accessible to travelers (Netflix, Amazon); the one shown in some photos is not located in the bedroom.

🌿 The setting The garden is a real asset: Mediterranean vegetation, relaxation area, calm and soothing atmosphere. Depending on the season, you can enjoy fruit from the garden, as well as my homemade grapefruit jam 🍊

🤝 Experience I'm a friendly, open and sociable person. I like to chat, share an aperitif if the opportunity arises, or simply let you enjoy the place in peace and quiet.

I'm fluent in English and would be delighted to chat with travelers from all over the world. Feel free to switch to English anytime!

I'll also be happy to advise you on beaches, creeks, hikes, restaurants, outings... whatever you fancy.

Naturism is welcome, in a respectful and caring spirit.

☕ For gentle wake-ups, Nespresso coffee, tea (kettle available), bread, butter and jam are available... and I'll be happy to provide fruit juice or milk according to your preferences.

🚗 Parking Easy parking available in front of the house, in the secure private allotment (video surveillance).

I had a very pleasant stay with Florian and would happily recommend him to other misterb&b guests. Communication before and during my stay was excellent. Florian was working when I arrived, so he arranged for his friend Olivier to welcome me, show me around the house and make sure I could settle in comfortably instead of having to spend the afternoon walking around with my luggage. That was a thoughtful gesture. The room was comfortable, quiet and very clean, with a private bathroom. Everything worked perfectly, and I slept very well. What I appreciated most was Florian’s hospitality. He had bought bread and a selection of cheeses for me after asking about my preferences beforehand. Throughout my stay he was attentive without ever being intrusive. Conversations happened naturally, and I always felt completely at ease and free in his home. Another highlight was the beautiful lush garden with its magnificent grapefruit trees. It was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine before heading out for dinner. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood with good metro and tram connections. Florian also takes security seriously, which I appreciated. Overall, this was one of the most welcoming misterb&b experiences I’ve had. Thank you, Florian!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Stay with a Fantastic Host! I had a wonderful stay with Florian in Marseille! He is an exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and open-minded host who makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Right from the start, I truly appreciated his flexibility when I had to make a last-minute date change—he was incredibly understanding and accommodating. The atmosphere at his place is incredibly relaxed, and we had some fantastic conversations. Florian speaks excellent English and is genuinely curious about different cultures and experiences, which made interacting with him a true highlight of the trip. As an anesthesiologist, traveler, and someone passionate about yoga and hiking, he brings a great, balanced energy to the space. He went above and beyond as a host, giving me excellent tips on things to do and how to easily navigate Marseille using public transport. It's a very hospitable environment where even the little things are taken care of, like providing very nice coffee and teas to start the day. He even invited me to join him for drinks and took me along to the wonderful home of one of his friends, which made the trip feel truly special and authentic. The room itself was a bit hot during my stay, - heatwave in Marseille!- but it was completely manageable with the fan provided. The prospect of having A/C installed soon will make this place even more fantastic! If you are looking for a comfortable, authentic, and open-minded stay in Marseille with an amazing host who goes out of his way to make your visit memorable, I cannot recommend Florian enough. I would absolutely stay here again!

Thank you so much, Michael, for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to me. It was a real pleasure welcoming you to Marseille and sharing so many memorable moments together. I'm delighted that you enjoyed discovering the city and that you felt at home during your stay. Meeting wonderful people like you is one of the reasons I love hosting. You're always welcome back, and I hope you'll have the chance to spend a few more days here next time... especially to enjoy Cassis! 😊

Florian is smart and beautiful, inside and out. He gave good instructions and advices for things to do and see. We got some time to hang out together in his nice home as well. The place is a bit out of the centre, but there is easy public transport nearby.

Thank you so much, Terje, for your kind review! 😊 A house with a garden in the very centre of Marseille would be almost impossible to find, and certainly much noisier. I'm glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting while still having easy access to the city by public transport. It was a pleasure hosting you!

I was fortunate to have been able to stay with Florian during my first visit to Marseille. He provided me with clear directions and maps to get to his home using public transit which was very helpful. His home is very comfortable and within easy reach of many most major sites of interest to a visitor. Florian provided good recommendations to the city and confirmed local drinking and eating places. The best part of the stay with him was just hanging out together talking and watching tv. He is a kind, fun and relaxed host. Highly recommended to stay with him if there is an opening!

Excellent welcome from Florian, a very friendly and accommodating host. Very pleasant accommodation, well-served location, magnificent garden. In short, the only complaint about this stay is that it was far too short. And I will be happy to return on my next visit to Marseille.

A large comfortable bedroom, private bathroom facilities and a beautiful garden with lush vegetation, all in a calm environment. But the icing on the cake is Florian. He puts you at ease right away and does everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. He's a true encyclopedia about Marseille; I even learned that pizza was invented in the city of Phocaea (and not just half-and-half!). LOL. I arrived at Florian's as a guest and left as a long-time friend. Thank you for everything and see you soon.

Florian is an exceptional host 😍. His house is a haven of peace and greenery, very quiet. He knows how to welcome us in a personalized way and with genuine attention. Lots of very nice conversations about Marseille, our professions, life.... He is curious and cultured which makes everything fascinating. No Marseille without Florian!!!

As you push open the gate to Maison Pamplemousse, you feel as if you're arriving at a familiar place, at a friend's home. Florian knows how to welcome guests as they deserve and has the gift of putting you at ease in no time. The house is magnificent, beautifully decorated and located just steps away from the Velodrome stadium and the metro. The neighborhood is really quiet with the feeling of being in a village, even though we're in the heart of France's 2nd largest city! An incredible city that Florian will also know how to make you love. I can only recommend this beautiful address.
