The tourism market is booming. Especially when it comes to the gay friendly tourism market. Cruise lines, travel agencies and tour guides are at a turning point where the industry cannot ignore this market. Today's largest tourism companies know this reality. Gays and lesbians are for the most part welcome, as they have become an indispensable addition as ambassadors to their corporate identity.

Here's a look at one part of the tourism profession that could reach you.

Tour Guide
It's fun to imagine having a salary while traveling. That's what you can expect with an overseas job as a tour guide. Working with local people on a daily basis also allows you to learn all about another culture. Most tour operators ask the guides to speak different languages and to sign you up for two or more seasons. Often the salary is not very interesting, but the conditions are.

Teaching English
The popularity of English around the world is well established. English is well represented in the tourism industry and this is an asset. The fact that this language is spoken all over the world makes becoming a teacher an interesting career path. After one year, teachers who go to Japan or South Korea, come back home a year later with real savings.

Ski resorts
Working at a ski resort is far from being just another job. It is a real way of life that is required. Skiing by day, partying by night. Although there is not much competition between candidates, there are many opportunities available at ski resorts. From instructing on the slopes to booking in the chalet, it's all possible. Some resorts, like Whistler, organize recruitment from overseas for qualified personnel.

Writing
Journalism is a way to identify with a field. Some editors take the route of economics, arts and culture or more specialized sections. Tourism is evolving. With the advent of websites and blogs, travel writers are multiplying around the world. You have to love meeting people and culture to be able to express yourself and bring out the emotion in your communication. You could also report on discoveries and publish your photos.

There are many other interesting jobs in the tourism world. student or not, the tourism field allows you to open up to the world and become a better person. Sharing what we have seen enlivens our soul. Every globetrotter cannot live without thinking about the next trip. If you are one of these globetrotters, try your luck in the tourism field.
