Everything went very well! Because my flight had some changes, I needed an extra night, David confirmed the availability very quickly. The communication was very easy! Thanks David.

David is a friendly and welcoming host although we were able to meet only the day of my arrival since he went on a trip shortly afterwards. But we had a good chat and walked a bit with his lovely dog. David (and his dog) now live off the premises with his partner nearby so both bedrooms upstairs receive guests who have booked on various websites. The location is super convenient, only about 3 min.' walk to Oxford St.'s venues, shops, etc. with all kinds of public transport close by, too. Sydney's Central Railway Station is only about 20 min.' walk away as well. The house itself is fairly quiet on a small residential street with a large, well-equipped kitchen except that it lacks a coffee-maker. Even a simple drip-cone-style coffee-maker would be very useful instead of resorting to instant coffee every morning. Otherwise, a great kitchen. To note: the only "air conditioning" in the house (crucial for Sydney's frequently very hot and often humid summer days and nights) is a small portable and rather noisy "air conditioner" machine in each guest room. The room I occupied on the front side of the house remained very uncomfortably hot the whole time since the small portable AC machine was ineffective, not really cooling down the room at all. I was able to get a few hours' sleep each night only---and only because the host, David, lent me a portable electric fan to put next to my bed. It helped somewhat. But the AC situation needs much improvement for this accommodation that indicates it has AC. It would be okay in the cooler months but it's too hot in the room in summer with the current situation. Finally, the small ensuite bathroom in the front guest room I used had a great shower---good pressure and plenty of hot water if needed. But the tiny sink located beneath a protruding medicine cabinet and in a very low position was difficult to use. It was good that when switching on the bathroom light in this room, a fan came on automatically in the bathroom, too, since it was very hot during my summer stay. I would recommend this guest accommodation particularly for the cooler autumn and winter months in Sydney rather than during the hot summer months given the lack of good ventilation and AC (not much breeze comes into this guest room through the window when open). The best feature really is the location.

David's place was in a fantastic location. Easy walk to most places in the CBD area of Sydney and both Sydney Harbor and Darling Harbor. Their dog Bailey was really friendly.

David is a very friendly and helpful person and I felt very secure staying in his home. My bed and bathroom was very clean - as well as his kitchen, where I was wellcomed to prepare my own food. His little walled-in terrasse was a good place to sit and enjoy one's afternoon-drink !

Wonderful accommodation at a very reasonable price. David was extremely helpful and kind. There are some delicious restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. I also had fun exploring the gay venues on Oxford street. I would definitely stay at David's place again. Highly recommended

It was a great place and David was a very warm and accommodating host. Their place was easily accessible and had convince stores and public transportation available just a few minutes walk. Would highly recommend.

It was a great advantage to stay at David's place. Just by walk all main attraction points were easily accessible. Also separate private bathroom was very clean. I highly recommend David's place for everyone intending to have a trip to Sydney. Also David was extremely helpful.

Staying with David this past holiday was absolutely amazing. From the friendly check in to helping me find events in the city during Mardi Gras - he was always very easy to communicate with. David was always polite and asked if I needed anything. The room was big and felt just like home for a few weeks. Close walk to Darlinghurst and the train was not a far distance at all. Truly became friends with David (and his beautiful dog) while being there. Also befriended many people David introduced me to

David was a very obliging host, welcoming us into his home during out time in Sydney. The room was comfortable and the bed rather large, however quite firm. The house is ideally situated with the city just a few minutes walk away. The main vein of the gay area, Oxford Street, is very close making for easy access to Sydney's gay life. In the bathroom, the shower was wonderfully spacious but for some reason the bathroom sink was so small, which made for some very awkward manoeuvring to be able to clean face ans shave ! Included in staying here is a beautiful dog, very calm and friendly (loves salmon). It was pleasant to be able to stay here.
